Typically. But the biggest issue we're having is finishing games off. I'd rather have Marceaux or Labas with 70-80 pitches behind them in the 9th than any of our other options right now

Sure, but if we did it your way the biggest issue we would have is starting games off. We'd be down 5-0 when labas entered the game.

Bianco hit a homer against his dad last time they played. He may step up.Arnold and Cranford are struggling at the plate as well.

I'm thinking (hoping) they would perform better at the beginning of the game at 0-0 than they are currently at the end of a game. Maybe the different mindset helps them out? And if we do get down 5-0 on Saturday then Johnny wholestaff it the rest of the way and save Labas for Sunday. Seems like it's worth a shot since the current method doesnt appear to be working for us

Because if LSU falls down 3-4 runs in the first couple of innings they do not have the offense to catch up

Obviously we don't have anyone that can close games out, and Marceaux and Labas can't go 9 innings every weekend. Why not try to get the first 1-3 innings on Friday and Saturday with some of your "relievers" when they'll be under less pressure and then let Marceaux and Labas come in to pitch the rest of the game?

It's not a terrible idea because I think we need to hedge our bets toward winning Sat and Sun anyway.

So, Marceaux comes in on Fri with a lead...otherwise, we go Marceaux on Sat, and Labas on Sun.

You really want to trust Paul to make 8-9 correct pitching changes in a game? He can barely make one.

You're right. I wish Bianco was good defensively but he's just not and right now he's a liability.
