tell me, what's LSU's identity on offense?

In 07 and 08 we were a power running team with some option running and spread passing. This year we had to change to more spread passing and running because the power running and option running weren't very good.

and do you think LSU is a well coached offensive team?

07? yes. 08-09? no

Like I said, Crowton's biggest flaw is that his offenses have been mediocore or bad in 5 out of 6 years he has had to start a FR or SO. The 1 exception being Tim Rattay's SO season. His offenses have also always been great with a JR or SR starting.

The Boat has a good point. Gonzales left Florida supposedly because he didn't get the OC job that he wanted. Maybe his arrival could be some foreshadowing for the future?

WE GROSSLY UNDER ACHIEVED THIS YEAR .. AND IF HIS OFFENSE IS THAT HARD TO LEARN IT NEEDS TO BE SCRAPED .. I THINK A VERY GOOD OC HAS THE ABILITY TO ADAPT TO HIS PLAYERS STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESS ..

Just My Thoughts

we all know the Offensive Coordinators of the Rant could do a better job than Crowton.

In all honesty, it would be hard for them to do worse than Crowton this season. LSU was 12th of 12 SEC teams for most of the season. Don't know how much worse it gets than Dead Last.

Name one QB that he has developed. I am talking about a guy that he got as a freshman and stayed with him and made him better each year.

Name one quarterback that Crowton brought in as a freshman, and Crowton was still around to see the guy play as a JR-SR! He hasn't stayed anywhere long enough for that to happen.

Probably couldn't due much worse than Crowton #112 in the country and 12th in SEC?? Hell pulling the plays off of Madden might have even worked better

Crowton will be back. Les wants him back so when they go 8-4 next year he can throw Crowton under the bus and hold onto his job another year

How do you know he will be back? How do you know that he isn't gone after the bowl game? How about we wait to see if he is still here in Feb before we start guessing at why he is staying.

I don't see any reason to keep him. We had worst offense in the SEC and 108th in total. LSU is always a contender and should always have a top 20 offense, no matter what.
