I don't have to think that at all. There is no evidence supporting it. What there is evidence clearly supporting, though, is that you're a fricking retard and shite poster and should kill yourself.

I'm all for Scott turning into a good QB for us under Canada but I think people are getting way ahead of themselves saying Scott will beat out Etling

Fans never cease to amaze me. You've never seen Scott play, but think he should start.

Similar to the way you never saw him play and assume he can't start. Even though many people close to the program that have seen him play at practice says he should start. Personally, I don't have any preference, I just want the best man to start and to each make each other better.

Great coaches allow a QB competition every offseason. Etling was our starter last year but we should put out the best QB this season.

If Scott passes Etling, then he made some TREMENDOUS leaps from practice last season.

Emphasis on TREMENDOUS

actually not similar at all, nor accurate to the posters point

Literally never heard that. And neither have you...you are going with a rant legend that has grown legs.

do I?

wait and see who knows the playbook come august 12th.

I do not have to think any such thing.

I do think Scott will get a lot of reps as long as his practices indicate they are not being wasted on him. He will get a shot. if he excels, he can pass Etling.
I am not holding my breath and I do not HAVE TO think he passes Etling.
I would give everyone a chance to develop and show what they can do.
I would let everyone play in the OOC games, unless one or two show they need to redshirt. but everyone who looks alive enough to have a glimmer of hope will get some snaps in the OOC games if I am the coach.
two or three series not for Etling. not just with 34 seconds left. a whole quarter every OOC game. a whole half if LSU is crushing.

Where did I say he couldn't start?

Who are these people? Name, link, or something. Every year "people" say this stuff. "People" told us Harris was much improved, Jefferson improved, etc.

Nor do I. None of us know who will start. Hell, the coaches may not even know yet. A little common sense should tell us all Etling has the inside track.

Why would anyone think Canada would NOT have a "legitimate competition"?
Coaches do not play favorites at the expense of their career and reputation, with only very rare (and profoundly stupid) exceptions.
This whole thread is stupid.

Oh, How many Heisman Trophies for Scott?

No his sole goal is to be the new offensive coordinator with no regard for player personnel.
