IMO, Texas may be better than Carolina this year. Since we play AT Carolina and AT Texas, I predict we finish 14-2 in the SEC and 29-2 overall.

We will not be a #1 seed as SoCal, UCLA, UConn, Texas, and Carolina will vie for those 4 positions.

LSU will either be the lowest #2 seed or the highest #3 seed.

The key for LSU is NOT to lose to the lower SEC teams like we did to State and Auburn last season.

Like the UCLA coach said a week or so ago, " Kim Mulkey is smarter than me, so I can't criticize her decisions."

Nor can she probably comprehend the philosophy

quote:

Yeah, but she did it last year too....and the year before too

She has done it for 40 years and pretty damn successful.

Kim was coached and mentored by Leon Barmore. He taught Kim how to be the best player and coach. It is a successful deeply rooted coaching philosophy, that she continues to this day.

Here is a little history of Leon Barmore:

1. Louisiana Tech established their Women’s basketball program 1974-75 season
2. Leon Barmore joined the Louisiana Tech staff in 1977, handling game strategy.
3. He was named associate head coach in 1980 and co-head coach in 1982. He took over the reins full-time in 1985
4. Kim played under Barmore 1980-1984
5. He was the fastest to reach 450 victories, achieving that accomplishment in 520 games.
6. Barmore’s 20 years as either co-head coach or head coach, He coached Lady Techsters to 20 straight NCAA Tournaments, nine Final Fours (including eight in a row from 1983 to 1990), five national championship games and the 1988 national title.
7. Kim was mentored by Leon Barmore and his top assistant coach from 1985 to 2000.
8. 2008, Leon decided to resume his coaching career at Baylor University, where Kim was head coach and Barmore was her assistant.

...and the rest is history.

We are so lucky to have Kim Mulkey.

There is no point. If the win all OOC, and finish 1 or 2 in SEC. They getting top 4 seed. SEC schedule is hard enough as is, no need to beef up your schedule.

Exactly....we will play 7 ranked teams in the SEC as it is. That is good for our RPI.
