don't see a heisman and 2 first round WR on this team.

That’s wasn’t the argument. I said this will be his best roster, not offense, best roster.

And btw, none of us had Jayden winning the Heisman and BTJ being a first rounder pre season. We all thought Malik would be great but that’s it.

Barion, Aaron & Nic all have shots at a big season and Nuss could be really great too.

oust Wade for no cost

That is called "fired with cause". Do you understand what "with cause" means? If there were no cause, there would have been no firing, but there WAS cause.

If you don't want to be fired with cause, don't do shite that will cause your employer to terminate your employment. It's really not hard to understand.

Woody did not have to sell out basketball. Football would have been the same without selling out basketball.

Pat Forde and Dick Vital scared Woody because they are puppets of the basketball blue bloods and they know WW was on the path to turning LSU in to a blue blood competitive basketball program.
This isn't true.

Woodward kept Wade at the helm for 3 years once he was hired. Forde and Vital did not "scare Woodward" into firing Wade. Those articles started 4 years prior to the firing. He got fired once it was determined he lied to his boss, paid players directly, and the NCAA issued formal notice.

Some of you have the memory of a goldfish or are being intentionally dishonest. I lean toward no. 2.

We all loved Wade. It sucks how it ended. He is not coming back. We hired an up and coming small school coach (who had success) because we had sanctions on the horizon. It didn't work out. This isn't some grand conspiracy or overly complicated situation.

He was on probation when he did this

To borrow a popular term, Will Wade fired himself, Woody just informed him

LSU football is going to have it's best roster yet under Kelly and is likely a preseason top 10 team

And likely a post season 15th or worse which is all that matters. Big Game Kelly needs to beat Clemson, Bama, Ole Miss, and OU away and Aggy and Florida at home.

All the NIL and preseason bullshite is great til he yet again chokes in the most important games. See Texas A&M, Florida, USC in 2024 and most of all Bama at home in 2024.

Yeah you must've missed the time we won the SEC outright and were rewarded with an 8 seed.

Thank you for proving my point. SEC was A $ $ when Wade won. Kudos to him, but that in no way is predictive of how he'd fare in a newly-fierce conference lineup.

Means nothing until they produce.
We had the Heisman Trophy winner and still were average.

I think you misread what he said.

The year LSU won, the SEC had 4 teams in the sweet 16

I mean, a lot of the guys in defense have produced at a P4 level. Theres plenty of reason for optimism but I guess if you wanna take the negative route, you’re entitled to do that.

He's won like 35% of games against ranked opponents while at LSU. That isn't a sign of winning big games.

Keep digging your head in the sand.

His two predecessor's btw won like 70% of games against ranked opponents.

Woodward has you fools hook line and sinker thinking Kelly will win here

Not being negative just being a realist.
What happens if they lose at Clemson?
Will you still be gung ho about '25?

Will my expectations of the season change if they lose games once they start? Sure. All we can do is look at teams on paper right now and on paper, I like LSU.
