You can believe what you want, but UK never offered Javonte. Cal met with him in person at his house and, according to insiders at UK, dropped recruiting him immediately.

The “strong arse offer” could be access to the program in return for helping convince Smart to go to LSU

Can we stop doing this? Just accept that money changed hands like it does for all top recruits and programs and hope that the NCAA doesn’t have enough evidence to nail us.

Who cares if they do? Alleva is already going to fire Wade and hire Benford, the program will be in the gutter regardless.

The article mentions a connection between a middle man and Calipari. It also mentions a KY pipeline from an AAU team in Houston to Kentucky. I’m sure they just enjoy the Kentucky seasonal temps. I look for Kentucky to suspend Calipari any moment now.

The most intriguing part of the story is the middle man provide updates on 8 players. Yet Yahoo only focused on Smart and LSU.

I get what Yahoo is trying to do to LSU, but this article actually helps.

Smart was cleared, so my bet is our compliance department already knew of this connection.

Now it will be easy to see if money changed hands. Surely the media will have that and release it.

JK - they won't. They will continue to be vague and hope LSU is stupid enough to make itself the scapegoat for the sins of the blue bloods. That's what the media wants.

When people bring up what the offer "could be"... It doesn't mean they actually believe it, but based on what little evidence we have so far all the scenarios presented are certainly a possibility... Not that the NCAA is a court of law, but it's an idea called "reasonable doubt" and "plausible deniability"

There is article after article where Javonte talks about how Cal had not offered but was "close"...I know it doesn't fit your narrative, but facts are facts.

Is it that far fetched that LSU is getting players illegally no matter where they are from?

Not sure if serious, or troll attempt. In the case that you are serious, might I remind you that US citizens are innocent until proven guilty. Something our admins need to be reminded about.

Sure they did. They were out of race horses to offer.
Calipari and KY Admin have never lied to anyone and the press is filled with honorable men.

Any chance this affects Smart’s status tomorrow?

King and Alleva are probably booking flights for the NCAA investigators as we speak, so that they can talk to Smart in the tunnel before the game tomorrow..."In an abundance of caution."

In a court of law, yes.

For the NCAA and LSU administration, no.

Yeah, but even the NCAA couldn't come down with sanctions or anything on this yet... Would set a terrible precedent seeing as the Yahoo source has yet to be corroborated by other media or an official source

Ever heard of a lawsuit? Where does it say the NCAA or the LSU administration cannot be sued?
