I know a couple UW fans and have attended a number of games in Madison, from my years in Chicago. Badger fans are great; among other things they have a sense of humor about the game that stems from the fact that they are unlikely to ever win a national championship--that gives them a more laid back approach to the game. They're a hoot to hang out with.

I sat in the Wisconsin section. Best mannered people I 've been around in a stadium. Nobody snarled about bad calls or the play of their QB or how weak the coaching was. It was a nice experience, and I would enjoy them as a traditional year to year opponent. They're looking forward to playing us again up there, as two of them told me.

You seem to be in the majority so I'm glad to hear that. I must have just gotten the wrong group(s) last night because they were awful. Or maybe I just bring out the worst in other fanbases. That's a distinct possibility.

I think your post says more about Bostonians than it does Wisconsin fans

So let me get this straight. You met some rude people in New England, THAT NEVER HAPPENS, which just happen to be Wisconsin fans.

I am quite sure that they don't represent the Wisconsin fan base as a whole.

Well the entire point of the thread was to ask if that was the case, which I'm happy to hear it is.

No it wasn't. Music drowned out the band. Should've been arranged so that both schools can do their thing.

Fans are fans regardless of where they're standing, dumbass.

Every fan base has a-holes... and if you'd have to cherry pick them, go to Boston to do it. Most miserable group of people in the country.

LSU fans were gracious enough, although I'm a little surprised that they watched Tanner McEvoy and didn't think he wouldn't be starting at Louisiana's top HS programs. I can't get over how bad he sucked.

Fanism is lke racism--good people and a-holes in almost any group, including LSU fans. I have a generally favorable impression of Wisconsin, from when the Saints used to train in LaCrosse and from the people I've met from there. Generally reasonable, pretty hard drinking, some strong opinions.
I hope they win the BiG this year--makes the W look even better.

Get off your high horses. They paid the same amount for their tickets as you. If you don't like the chants and taunts stay home other wise have a coke and a smile and stfu.

Consider that Wisconsin fans are the same group of commie Union weirdos that stormed the capital a year or two ago. There's your answer.

The pieces of shite that you encounter when your school plays Wisconsin are almost exclusively surly east coast transplants who end up in Madison for college. They are only rivaled by Ohio State in the cocksucker douche department.

We were sitting around some classy people and some asses. The classy ones were super nice

Lots of assholes that loved to chant "SEC." It was nice to do it back

That stupid arse "W" they make with their hands is annoying as hell but overall they were pretty easy to get along with from my view. We sat in a mostly LSU section so didn't have a lot of interaction.

Exact same thing happened where I was. After we won and were chanting "SEC" one of the worst of their group got in my face and yelled "you only won by 4!" I just smiled and told him I stopped listening after "won".

My girlfriend is a Wisconsin alum and she wore her red Wisconsin jersey to our LSU game watch party here in the Tampa Bay area. All of the LSU folks were gracious to her as she was to them. However during the first half with her cheering on the Badgers, the Tiger faithful were getting restless. I decided that it was best to leave at halftime...just in case things got worse for LSU.
LOL Fortunately, the second half went LSU's way, and we won by scoring 21 unanswered points. I scored as well.
