He didn't say that. They are trying to pull customers away from YouTubeTV.

Good luck with that. YTTV has an anchored sports base with Sunday Ticket.

sure, now.

It'll be more expensive in a few months.

I don't want Hulu, or Disney+. It's no different than the 100 channels outside of live sports that are on regular cable or youtubetv that i don't use.

All i want is ESPN/2/U/News/+, SECN/+, FS1/2, TNT/TBS, and USA. I do not need any other channel out there.

I also want to be able to use the multiview, which is only available on Youtubetv.

ESPN unlimited dosn't give me multiview, nor does it give me FS1/2, TNT/TBS, USA.

I'd rather pay $90 a month for Youtubetv and ESPN+, than whatever ESPN unlimited cost while being forced to also subscribe to Hulu and Disney+ and not having FS1/TNT/TBS/USA.

I tried Hulu live tv last weekend. It kept glitching and freezing up. frick that!

FWIW, I had Fubo TV a couple years back before I switched to YTTV, and the glitching, circle of death, freezing up was horrible. It had go so bad, you could hardly enjoy a whole game without it glitching at least 3-5 times.
For now, I'll add the ESPN Unlimited to my already ESPN+ package. Hopefully YTTV works out that deal.

ESPN+ only gives you the + content and ESPN 3 games. It doesn’t include ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN U, ESPN news, ESPN ABC, SECN and probably some others I’m leaving out. Only ESPN unlimited provides those.
At this point- I’ve kept YT TV and added Unlimited until this is solved or I have to make a different decision and move on from YT.

I'm aware of that.

I assume at some point YTTV will get ESPN back.

If they don't, my solution isn't to go get ESPN unlimited, as that doesn't fit my needs. I want to watch soccer on USA and baseball and hockey on TNT/TBS. AND I WANT THE DAMN MULTIVIEW!
ESPN App has always sucked as well.

If they don't get it resolved, then i'm going the IPTV route.

ESPN allowed me to change my ESPN+ subscription to the ESPN unlimited plan.

This. Had fubo for a little while so I could watch the Astros and Fubo sucks. I have great internet and no buffering with any other service but Fubo always had issues buffering and loading and would freeze up.

I set up a trial for DirecTv stream and it seems like it has a better picture quality than YTTV, but is more expensive and the UI isn’t as smooth as YTTV. Also it is more delayed from live by probably 30-60 seconds vs YTTV (which is itself already delayed).

Have to sign up for ESPN Unlimited which has everything ESPN. Bundled with Hulu and Disney for $29.99 month for first year. Pause YT TV until ESPN comes back.

I pay $30.23 for Disney. Yet I tried to watch Tennessee game and it took me to a screen saying I need to pay $38.99

My in laws got to the screen where it said $29.99

What is this scam

Hulu

Yep, Hulu live is the way to go.
They carry everything.

Events on like espn sometimes won’t stream until they actually begin (sorta like PPV) but otherwise extremely reliable.

Had it for years now. Best bang for your buck.

This is what you can do for those who have an existing ESPN + account and you want to hold onto your YTTV account and keep your saved content.

First go into settings on YTTV and manage account. Click $10 off for each of the next 6 months.

Go to ESPN.com and click on your account in top right corner. Upgrade your ESPN+ subscription from $12.99 to ESPN unlimited for $29.99. Difference of $17.99. You arent keeping both. You get ESPN+ with unlimited.

You can watch all ESPN content with a viewing guide, live and on demand. You can watch live content from beginning while the game or show is currently playing also,

It includes ESPN on ABC so you can watch LSU vs Bama on saturday

Regular ABC content, (use your antenna)

Your Net out of pocket is $7.00, before the dust settles on this dispute

I swapped to Hulu as well; at least for the time being.
I still prefer YTTV over Hulu but it could just be because I am not use to the Hulu app yet. I will say, it seems getting to my local channels is easier on Hulu.

I"m 84 years old a a little tech challenged. I have YouTubeTv and after 3 years I've learned how to multigame broadcast which I really like.

When ESPN disappeared I bought the app Friday night. I had nothing but trouble trying to log in on Mac, iPhone or TV.

Also the pain of trying to switch between what's left of YOuTubeTV and the ESPN app is bothersome.

I cancelled the ESPN app after they couldn't tell me why I had to have a code resent every time I tried to log in on any device.
