I’m in the market still. My portfolio only took a small hit on Friday, and was able to move money around to get some discounted stocks then. Up big since then. Thanks for leaving OP, you leaving fixed the market

It’s not timing the market, it’s time in the market. Unless you are really close to retirement age this is a poor decision IMHO.

no. still sitting on the sidelines. i should not be surprised but i am at most of the comments on my decision. its like i have personally done something to some posters. anyway, whats the board's take on the vanguard reit and utility etfs as well as some of the bond etfs? feel free to blast me again

whats your take on a bond etf? ive never owned one and dont know alot. what ive read is that in a period of lower interest rates bond do well and they also pay a dividend.

also looking at the vanguard dividend appreciation etf.

Nah, it's just that some of us have been posting on this board for several cycles in the stock market and we still get a chuckle out of someone panicking and selling out.

It's your money and everyone has a right to do whatever suits that investor. But the running joke on here is that when we see enough threads like this one, it means the market bottom is near.

It is similar to Warren Buffett's famous quote, "Be fearful when others are being greedy and be greedy when others are being fearful."
