No. Of course not.

For me...what else do I have to do then to take a chance on this "grift" and see/learn how to capitalize?? You do you and I/we do me/we. Though I do like seeing your counters cause you do provide a solid opinion to keep tabs on.
I don't know man. If you like bitcoin, just buy bitcoin. Paying 2-3X for it is the definition of insanity.

There's always "hope" for the best in anything someone does.
quote:

No. Of course not.

Of course it is. Any kind of chance taken, especially in regard to a financial gain, has some kind of risk. Just depends on the risk level.

For me I'm trying to stay within my ability via my Fidelity acct. For me it's risky to get into the whole wallet thing, so a chance I'm not taking right now.

You have your approach, and your wants/needs out of investing. I have mine. I tap out my retirement investing. I put some things in longer holds as a "savings" in case I need it for a rainy day. And I have specifically set aside money over the last few years to be used in more risky stuff to learn in more quick real time. Not the "buy it and let it ride for 35-40 yrs" bucket. I obviously was late in the BTC game, amongst others, but is what it is. Im not using money I can't easily afford to lose. Like someone going to a casino with a few hundos in hand and some buddies to just have some fun.

I've made some bad calls that I feel will turn, why I'm not dealing with or trying to learn about Penny Stocks. I'm here to try to learn to help me improve on my timing/decision making. I like being strategic and gathering info to make those kind of moves. BTC is in a league of its own with lots of feeding options, and it has volatility. That volatility is helpful for my learning curve right now as it keeps me on my toes. I did my first full swing trade in the last couple of months, and a couple more since. That was on my list of things to do so I learn to pull that trigger. Also wanted to have something done so I see how it is handled on my taxes in a few months. Ive got things I want to teach myself, and using money set aside specifically for it.

I've learned some really good things from mistakes I've made the last couple of months. Things about myself. And I've been telling myself how to correct it moving forward.

Like I said you give good counter insight but your added negative doom and gloom tends to cloud over your good points as it's more "told you so" wish casting instead of sound advice. Like the group buzz kill.

I'm still on the train that this BTC bump today is Saylors last big buy before he gets put on pause Thurs/FRI. bring that cost basis down into the high 50k range going into 2025.

This stock has me in a trance. The more I understand it, the more I realize just how audacious it is. Saylor is speeding up the adoption of a new asset single-handedly via his knowledge and exploitation of the traditional capital markets. 2025 is going to blow people's minds if liquidity comes along as expected.

No doubt. A different approach to learn is what has me for sure.

Hopefully it does have the interesting 2025 we can only imagine up

I'm loving it. MSTU and MSTX have both made me a lot of cash. I'm more than playing with house money. So he can grift on that!

Nice.

I definitely timed my MSTU buy wrong so haven't been able to take advantage yet like my MSTR. Just wasn't able to figure out how that fed announcement was going to affect things. I fell for the "the market has already put the qtr cut in" line. I read somewhere how his "we (in the fed) can't buy BTC" line hurt it. Just don't know how much. And still don't know what else was said that wasnt expected that made the market drop so much on Thurs. Oh well..all in the learning curve.

Nobody really ever knows.

MSTU, my entry was at the 15 range. Sold a call hat I got 100% of due to the fall off. I'm not concerned about the fall off.

Well, this is good to hear. My main concern is a lot of people on this board truly don't know much about investing and look for competent advice here. If MSTR is essentially in your gambling bucket, then that's fine..but I would request you continue to make htat clear to onlookers here.

Sorry it seems that way. I just hate grifts. I also hate when LSU people lose money to them! I have given one or two positive ways to play MSTR that don't involve just going long.

This is a completely serious list of questions:

What does your probability weighted forward return tree look like? Like, from today's price - and holding bitcoin price constant - what claims are you making about future price targets?

Is there any amount of price decline/increase that would cause you to do anything other than add? (again, hold bitcoin price constant for this question)

Does your thesis absolutely depend on bitcoin going up?

What is the investment thesis for the name growing into the inflated valuation of its only substantial asset?

Man I really need to learn the Calls play asap. On my list for January.

I got into MTSU at 14.90 late last Tuesday afternoon. I'm sure it'll be fine, eventually but the instant kick in the nards after thinking I had timed it better has me just learning from the whole thing.

When TTT went long he was getting a great value on the calls. That value has flipped into the opposite direction.

I own MSTR and Bitcoin. I'm the biggest bull on Money Talk.

That said, you guys going are levering an already levered play. It's going to wipe most of you out.

Just hold MSTR if you want to gamble.

Just thought I would mention again that bitcoin vol is only 50ish, while MSTR is 150ish. That's the play.

I totally get that concern and I've stated I'm a newbie and amateur many times. Just trying to learn how to trade, both day and swing. I think it's even mentioned in my profile. Though I'll keep it more in mind.

I get it. Though don't know the 2 positives you mentioned as I'm sure I just looked at them as you being a debbie downer on it.

I am trying to look at this ETFs as more day/quick swing trade. Why Ive mentioned how my timing last chaps me some as it was my first real attempt after watching it for a few weeks. Fricking Powell.
