I mean, unless you are only day trading, it seems somewhat likely to lead to long term large losses.

At present, it's about a 2.2X premium. It was above 4 before this big selloff. I wouldn't be surprised if it traded in that range for a long time, meaning it could be a fun day-trading name. I mean, as preposterous as 2.2X is, it's not even in the top 10 of absurdities in the crypto world....Fart Coin is at like $1.5B after all. I think it's been 6 months or more without being rugged.

Our daily FUD from scrub, thank you. mNAV is 1.9 and not 3 sell it all! Last bull cycle it got up to 6, you will really hate it then. It’s two levers saylor uses. When mstr price ripped he hit the atm hard. It dampens the price run, but captures the premium and raises the floor of his stock price. Example. Going up 3 steps taking 2 steps back. You’re still a step up from where you were. Also deleverages his company which is currently not as leveraged compared to the past 4 years. Q1 2025 he will start to issue more converts and price will start to rip again along with btc. Saylor spent the weekend at mar a lago with Eric trump. Maybe he knows something you and I don’t, and is front running something bigger. So instead of 3 years he went hard at the atm while the getting is good. You’re a smart guy you know markets are forward looking. Bitcoin price isn’t forward looking. A global event happens, btc sees it first. 24-7 trading 365. So if markets are future looking, do you think btc at 95k is where it will be a year from now? How about 5-10 years from now. I think btc will be much higher and therefore the future of mstr value will be much higher

I'm not sure what you mean to say, but I do register your positive view on the situation.

I'm on record as saying it could bounce between 2 and 4 premium for quiet awhile - especially if the govt does this preposterous "strategic reserve" for which there is no conceivable pro case (which likely means Trump will do it)

Trump already did it, once he reaches office he will not sell any BTC held by the government. Therefore the USA will have the largest BTC reserve for any country in the world by far. They have so much BTC held from crimes its crazy. He won't be buying any BTC using taxpayer dollars.

I'm a skeptic of whether FASB is going to do anything meaningful for share price

That's not a big trade at all in the name. It's also worth noting that vol has sort of collapsed since the last time I commented on it. Front week is currently mid-70s. Was as high as 225 not that long ago.

Following up - this was a 609 lot. Not really meaningful at all. Open interest on that line is 5000. It's a 30 delta option, so, with vol at 103, not even really THAT far out of the money.

I just sold a covered call at $750 strike (>100 OTM) / 2/21 exp / for $400 / contract; ~ 13 % / yr interest rate assuming I don't get called.

If I got called, that's a 36k profit in a month.

I'm selling 1 contract each week for 4 wks to capture the rise in the price stock ( I only sell on good green days), then rinse and repeat.

I also bought a single $270 call, leap option, when price was about $300, that is already up over 100%.
