quote:Meant to type “Hit” piece. Appears to be orchestrated. Today would have been the day that the dust settles after earnings. Yet this morning AF publishes a Stat article saying that our patent dosage is being challenged. Yet a year ago in a Stat article he said that the patent was strong.
Explain
The patent was always going to be challenged, but if it’s strong, as he wrote, there should be nothing to worry about. The timing of this piece along with the time sensitive options grant stinks to high heaven.
Peter wants $9 stock options. I think he’s been aiming for this since we were at $28-33 last fall. I’m now conceding that AUPH management is rotten to the core, as Neil Solomon somehow escaped above $30/share on a pre planned stock sale just before a shelf offering that was sold to shareholders as “business as usual” …YET, they tapped the entire 200m instantly, thus lying to shareholders while also diluting our value by 7.9 percent.
Peter will now sell the wonder drug for $22-26/share. That’s what it looks like to me now. He’s a terrible piece of shite.

What seems plausible now, and it’s dreadful to consider, is that AUPH leaked the buyout rumors just so top execs could sell around $30. And a couple of them sold A LOT.
Were there ever actual offers of 42 and 44.5? Perhaps not.

So let me get this straight since you've been in this for years. We ride this out or we look for the first exit point? We seeing $25 again anytime in the next year?

Peter didn't actually sell any though, did he? or am I misinformed..?

wouldn't surprise me if insiders had something to do with the hit piece this morning. We are close IMO

I only half agree
He's an asshat who has manipulated sentiment for personal profit. The fact that these guys have the ability to pick and choose when they exercise options is a systemic corruption problem. If I knew this was going to be the ethical behavior I would never have invested.
But the drug is a enormously promising drug that seems to deserve to be a standard of care for LN and eventually perhaps other inflammatory renal disease

Zone of frickery doesn’t happen with no frickery.
We are below the 15 buyout offer from what 2 yrs ago.
Trying to decide if I should get another 1000 shares to add to my misery

What about exiting for undesired losses?

Revised price targets are still around 30 as well.
You might as well wait. I'm around cost basis after five years of averaging up.

I’ve bought a sold a bunch. Got a good bit below 30 and a few shares around there
I make money if a sell happens at 25.
I plan to hold. Just trying to decide if I should add here

Just read the transcript of the earnings call. Not one question or mention of potential buyout. I optimistically take that as they are in or finished negotiations and told the reporters beforehand that they wouldn’t answer any buyout speculation talks. After that quick sell off this morning and rebound, along with the volume, I think the writing is on the wall. I sound like a broken record, but I’m ready for this to conclude. I think we see a 200% premium with buyout at $36. And I’m ok with that.

I’ll take 150% from $12

Grant the freakin options you greedy piece of shite
ugh man.. these chat room transcripts being posted on Stocktwits are brutal
All these Lupus Nephritis patients who have never even heard of Lupkynis, and their doctor immediately put them on Benlysta..
The idea that Peter and his team could out-market and out-sell GSK was and still is absurd

So is now a good time to buy if you’ve been on the sidelines?

If they load, you should load.
35 million shares in two days wasn’t retail.
Your timing is very fortunate.

Great entry. Yeah it’s crazy alright.
Snagged my first 1,000 or so shares between $3 and $8.
Once we got to $15 I had no problem accumulating between $12 and $20, so here we are.
