Credit card points to miles

In a couple of months I will have approx 212,000 rewards points from a couple cards I can move all of these to British Airways or Virgin Atlantic. Each airline offers non stop from Austin to London. I dont want to sit in economy for a 9 hour flight.
Which airline and class would you pick ? I'm assuming I will have to pay + miles.

What currency? I'm betting Chase UR?
Both of those airlines can destroy you in fees.
Might want to reconsider another airline/mileage program.
Might be worth the 30 minute flight to Houston etc.

Combo of Chase, Citi and capitol one. They all have transfer portals I can get them to either airline.

I just booked a trip to Vienna with points on United. To upgrade to first class it would have been an additional 6K

Like Teddy said, you'll get hammered with fees flying with miles to London. It may be one of the circumstances where booking through the Chase portal actually makes sense since the miles will cover the fees. Why not search prospective dates on Virgin and BA award searches and see if there's even award availability and compare costs? It almost never makes sense to speculatively transfer, and both Virgin and BA had transfer bonuses recently if I remember correctly.
To the post above, upgrading to first class on an international flight at 6K is an absolute no-brainer. So much sure I'm wondering if you meant 60K.

As said London is one of the hardest places to get point deals for first class because it’s a popular destination, but others will help you with what airlines would be best.
I’m not sure 212,000 pts is going to get you far though that’s only $2500 or so worth of value.
