I hate seeing this thread off page 1.
Looks like we're moving back north again. Slowly, but surely.

I'm wanting another dip. Feel like I missed out when I didn't pick up more at $3.10-3.15 on my 4am pee break. Thought I'd wake up and see it $2.97. My plan was to buy 15-20k shares. I've added zero. If those mf'er release the FID and or other positive news before I can get my blue light special shares, I'm gonna be pissed.
If it makes ya'll feel better, we always get a drop after I add any significant amount of shares and when I get greedy and want to load up at X price, they drop some bombs that send us significantly higher.
I think we go lower into the weekend. If so, I will add.

What are you planning to set your buy order at?
I have a buy order for 5000 shares at 4.5 cad but I'm wondering if that is too aggressive and the price is unlikely to fall that much

I haven't decided. If we get a really bad market day, We could go below $3. Don't want to be too greedy though. I think it's a good buy where it's at today, but I really don't think we've hit our low.

SLI needs to get off their asses and start doing something. I’m starting to think we’re gonna be left in the dust.

In the latest news from EnergyX, on March 26, the company announced the commissioning of its Project Lonestar demonstration plant in Hooks, Texas. The plant is on track to produce about 250 metric tons of battery-grade lithium carbonate equivalent annually, deploying the company’s “GET-Lit” DLE and lithium refining systems with industrial-scale equipment.
The demonstration plant will serve as a scaleable platform for optimizing performance with an eye on keeping costs down, while providing battery-grade samples in the range of 5–25 tons to customers. If all goes according to plan, production will ramp up to the commercial-level pace of 100,000 tons or more per year.
“This facility not only validates the performance of our technology on an industrial scale under real-world conditions, but also establishes EnergyX as the lowest cost producer in the U.S.,” emphasized EnergyX Founder and CEO Teague Egan in a press statement.

They're already helping employees find housing closer to where the plant will be. Never heard of this company.

And without government grants. Is there a possibility the government is slow walking anything due to SLI being Canadian in order to benefit this other outfit?

Nah. The federal funds to bring in a lot more red tape and environmental. Was talking with Bruce Westerman last year and he said to anticipate delays. That just comes with fed funds. Brings all the leftists NGO's into play.

I haven’t either but my point was SLI needs to hurry up before all these random companies jump ahead of them

If anyone is wondering why we're lagging behind a very upbeat lithium market today, it's because of this comment in the fins officially communicating the commercialization delay
:
quote:
SWA Project Final Investment Decision
The four primary deliverables to be completed prior to taking FID are signing the construction vendor contracts (EPCC/EPCM), receiving National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) approval from federal regulators, finalizing customer offtakes, and closing project financing.
Smackover Lithium continues to make meaningful progress on all fronts. It expects to complete vendor contracting and the environmental review in the second quarter of this year, and to reach agreements on its remaining advanced offtake negotiations, which will help to finalize the size and structure of the SWA Project debt. This would result in the joint venture being in a position to take FID and begin construction in 2026, and to achieve first commercial production in 2029.

Mercy. What a clown outfit. There’s no reason to assume production won’t be pushed until after 2030.
Posted on 3/30/26 at 8:40 am to Wraytex
Blah. I knew the grant would push things out due to more environmental and fed BS, but damn. Can't really do much of anything until that get finished. Maybe we'll get a couple of more rates cuts to make the FID look better.

Damnit. Almost sold a chunk this morning to swing when it shot up for no reason. Wish I’d listen to myself sometimes.

Same. I think the $2's are back on the table with overall market decline.

Need some big insider buys to re-establish some confidence.

It’s still long term derisked barring an insane shift in the entire lithium market that would wreck multiple Fortune 500 companies so I’m not too worried, but I want to maximize this so I’m pissed I whiffed today ha. Now just gotta figure out where to start buying again cause yeh I agree $2’s are on the table again soon with this announced delay.
I’m debating selling one of my other specs and essentially doubling my SLI position.
I’ll never go all in on a stock (or even more than 50% of my spec portfolio) but this thing seems like such a lock. You have big buy in from Roch, Equinor, and oh yeh the US government.
Super pessimistic scenario is $10 by 2029 which would be what 50% annual return? Yeh I’ll take it. And it’s completely liable to hit that next year.
It’s prerevenue so don’t invest what you can’t lose, but this is pretty much the only play stock I’ll recommend to friends and family, especially at this valuation.
