For those of you that own silver or gold - are there any bricks and mortar metal dealers in the Baton Rouge area that you use?

I've got a good bit of metal and may want to offload some of it, but I've honestly never sold a single silver eagle or gold bar before. I know the spot prices on the online retailers, but wanted to do this in person if I could.

How many OZ of each? Have 2 local guys that pay top dollar but they don't mess with just a few OZ. One is in BR and one is in Denham.

Interested in this as well. I have 140oz of silver I'd like to offload. Reached out to AMPEX and they quoted me 10% below spot and I'm pretty sure I'd get a 1099 which is not ideal. Would much prefer to sell to someone in person (both benefit from not paying the spot % markup/down) but a local brick and mortar may be the answer

30 1oz silver bars
2 10oz silver bars
15 buffalo silver rounds
15 eagle replica rounds
60 American silver eagles

Your 60 ASE’s are worth a minimum of Spot price. Government minted bullion always sells closer to spot.

The bar bullion you referenced is worth about “Spot minus 8%” through the online dealers, based on the current transaction premiums for a sale of the specified quantity. Vintage bars are the exception.

Larger quantities are transacted at lower premiums (1-4%) or sometimes at spot in the case of GFD bars. Hope that helps …. good fortune
