Has anyone heard anything about Smith Business Consultants of BR and any clients they may have? Can't find a whole lot of information on them.

From their website ... :

quote:

Smith Business Consultants is a marketing firm that specializes in outsourced sales and client acquisition for service based, Fortune 500 Companies.

... assuming this is true. Although I don't see why they'd restrict themselves to advertising for such unless they were serious.

AIA & JJG on watch.

In CORN right now. Supply pressure should come to a head by the end of September, hence the reasoning for my November calls. Here's a good write-up:

Saw that, but was wondering more about specifics. It also says that they are hoping to open 3-5 more offices by 2012. I had never heard of them until recently.

Good grief. Forward P/E under 6. That seems ridiculously low.

Why would they choose to do this...

I don't want to read too much of this because it is going to just add more confusion to what I already studied.

Thanks for the post though. I will revisit this after July 7th.

What do yall think of the Janus Twenty Fund?

JNTFX

After graduating college my dad gave me the "uniformed gift to minor" and I got quite a few shares of JNTFX.

Just looking it over, there are many other funds that have greatly outperformed it but I am wondering if it is worth it to either hold on for another few years or should I sell and reinvest (would have to pay taxes)

Having a farm is a better long term inflation hedge than gold has ever thought about being.

I wish I had a farm. I really do. There's got to be nothing more gratifying than seeing a shite ton of crops pop up on your land once a year, solely due to your directed efforts.

anytime you can't get much info from a company's website and they tell you that you'll be working with fortune 500 companies its likely a bullshite job. You'll probably be selling credit card machines or some crap like that.

etaL actually reading up on that it sounds like the exact bullshite my friend got stuck going on a ride along with. They told him he'd be doing direct marketing for fortune 500 companies, he goes in for an "interview" and it turned out to be just riding with the guy throughout Lafayette, walking into random stores trying to get them to buy those swipe machines.....he was pissed

BP up 3.5% on the day so far.

I'm holding until I sell though (cite: LSURussian's investment strategy).

I almost got scammed into one of those in Nashville once. It was called "Nashville Business Consulting." They are all the same scams...take you in a car around the city and watch them make stupid sales pitches. Don't fall into the trap.
