He will not. The SCOTUS literally laid it out.

Really? So he ran on setting tariffs at the rate of the trade deficit of each nation? Fascinating. Must have missed that. Link?

SCOTUS ruled on the first part, the emergency plan. The administration has been talking of several additional ways to implement tariffs over the past 6-9 months. I believe even SCOTUS recognizes them in this ruling.
“Free trade” was code for “screwing America’s middle class”. Nations have had their post WWII rebuild. It’s time they stop taking advantage of American taxpayers.
It is curious the revenues being brought in. The economy is figuring the tariff situation out.

One of the commentators on CNBC yesterday pointed out that the relative success of the economy despite the tariffs seems to make the democrats' tax/spend case for them.

CNBC would be wrong. Our issue is the wide trade gap/deficit.
A trade deficit that is small to moderate is 100% ok. We have a very large one and we have had it for a very long time.
A large trade deficit is not just an accounting entry. It is a structural force that compels the U.S. to expand its money supply. The mechanism is a cycle of debt monetization, where the Federal Reserve essentially "prints" money to keep the system from collapsing under the weight of the very debt used to pay for the trade gap.

Don’t forget the countries that immediately agreed to his free trade proposal …and he said not good enough, you have to buy something too.
