Artificial supply can do A LOT of manipulation, until it can't.
A few years ago I was on a Reddit thread that kept track of the COMEX/LBME manipulations.
How they would dump thousands of ounces to cover their shorts. Weekends, prior to an Asian holiday, when there was no active trading which increased the impact of the dump, which banks were shuffling metal ounces between themselves so they were covered. What the ratio was between their actual metal holdings and their "paper" nonsense.
Anyone have any links, since that I can't find that sub? Prefer it not be Reddit.
A side note: The site was an offshoot of the Gamestop thing, then someone sued claiming ownership and was filing lawsuits...just banter and accusation to where I just unsubscribed.

It blew through the 97 resistance like it wasn’t even there. If it closes out the week above $102. ….. I think it’s safe to say that the “hundred dollar cake is baked” for silver.
And it looks like the gold bull is going to take out $5K too ….. time for a steak dinner and a fine Fuente

The coin shop I went to yesterday was paying 5 back for generic, and spot for eagles.
If you don't mind me asking can you send the information on that shop? I live in Lees Summit.
BTW -- good pickup on that coin. Nice looking. APMEX is selling for 173.91

Last time we had a godzilla marubozu week close candle like this was 12/26/25 was higher on a % basis than today. Of course we all remember the 12/29/25 smashdown where they got it all the way down to below the 12/26/25 open.
Monday will be an interesting day this feels different because obviously the volumes are higher.

Yeah been trying to cycle some silver into platinum but the local coin shops around here don't have any :(
I would frick with the online dealers but I really don't want to wait for a month plus for the transaction to complete.

Palladium
It should be noted that out of the Big 4, Palladium is the only one trading below all time high levels... a whopping 40% below at that.

To be fair when it ran up to $3k it was during the covid and ukraine war supply shocks. It will get back there soon enough. I'm just glad I didn't buy any rhodium when I was hemming and hawing over it. It's chart is almost identical from a peaks and valleys perspective as palladium. Meanwhile the gold I bought back then is up 2.5-3x and the silver I bought back then is up 4-5x. My only regret was not setting up the auto invest with Apmex to have an oz of platinum sent to my UPS mailbox every 2 weeks back when it was sub $1,000

I don't have a bunch of Platinum. I did buy some one ounce Valcambi bars when it dipped that low though.
I thought about Platinum Eagles at the time but I didn't like the premiums and thought they were kinda fugly

Same I think I have right at a troy pound of it or at least near that amount...
My last platinum purchase was 5 platinum eagles back in July when the market price was $1,455 but the premium was $200 per coin. Now it has almost doubled in price but the premium only went up to $300 per coin.
Platinum is my favorite metal as it's the most dense, tough a frick, and doesn't tarnish like silver.

all i have to say is if you have Silver, it had better be real bullion in your possession.
