I drive down I-4 to Lakeland. There is a coin and jewelry shop on Kathleen rd. He has a history of selling at spot and buying $4 back of spot. I know that for some of the crazy highs he was robbed and was going $5 back of spot afterwards. He is a very above-board kind of guy and there is no such thing as waiting for your money. I am sure everybody has something similar close.

As of right now, JMB is $6-16 back of spot, depending on product.
Is that the pawn shop (MFD)?

No. SGB Jewelry & Coins. It is owned by a sharp young couple that are innately fair.

Their FB page has video of the dude going through their shop robbing them at night. He usually puts everything away but had a mission to run with his daughter so he left things out. A miscreant broke in and loaded it all up.

Do any of y'all ever worry about our benevolent government trying to force you to sell to them at a set price?

Pandora announce it would start offering platinum plated jewelry as an alternative to silver.
Oh lordy. If retail starts gobbling up platinum, fertilizer prices will go through the roof. Platinum is a catalyst.

Not yet. It appears as if he also robbed another one up in Tallahassee. I hope he is caught and they get all of their stuff back.

The robber is about 5'4 and weighs about 240.

naw, brother …. I lifted that from the Kitco metals forum years ago. I thought it was a humorous way to remember GSR intensity.

Never apologize for shameless theft of a good idea

No every time I would get close to talking myself into buying the Pro I would go down to my local coin shop in Austin and spend the grip on silver and just use their machine to test the coins I was questionable about

So the Shanghai Gold Exchange is closed for the New Year for a full week starting next Friday. Are they going to take advantage of that and do a massive paper contract smackdown?

I mean the banks are still way net short tomorrow is the launch of the 100oz paper only CME contract so stupidity is coming for sure.

Also March is a big physical delivery month so I think there will be plenty of fireworks.

feels like a setup especially with the Chinese lunar new year upcoming from Feb 15th to 23rd. I think the shorts will hit it hard here soon. But who knows for sure.

I keep seeing people say we're headed for the 50s. I'm patiently waiting cause I'd love to buy some more ASE tubes for a thousandish bucks (or less!).

I'm trying to imagine the premiums on ASEs if it gets to $50
