Yen/Dollar carry. BoJ had as much impact, possibly more, than the Fed. It can't imagine this changing anytime soon.

Silver miners were up today though strangely enough.

I'm not sure one needs to pick an absolute bottom to attempt to practice that weird thing everyone preaches, but no one seems to do. That is to say, buy low and sell high.

Does the SLV ETF have decay problems?

No. There are some other issues with owning this particular etf, but decay isn't one of them. The prospectus is revealing. I'd prefer PSLV, but I don't own either. I trade the options on SLV. I own physical silver for reason I won't bore you with. I trade the paper.

Reading several blogs, silver has some more blood-letting to go.

Some are saying $12/oz, other's are predicting $8/oz.

And when the stocks start coming down, SLV will rise? It has an inverse relationship?

Not always.

Maybe, in times of uncertainity people like to run to the 'safety' of PMs. But remember, SLV was around $50/oz not too long ago. Those that dove into PMs are now losing their shirts.

My very limited knowledge of PMs tells me people have used PMs as a 'store of value' or a hedge against inflation.

I have always heard that the USD and PMs are inversely related.

The weaker the USD, the higher PMs are in price. The stronger the USD, the lower the price for PMs.
