Yep. My point of view is that I treat a speculative stock like this as a lottery ticket. It's all or nothing. Most of my investments aren't like that. I want a good solid chance of making money.

With something like this, where my stake is relatively low, I want to give it a chance to pay off, or win the lottery. That is the fun for me. Some folks like to play the options and buy the dips and sell the peaks on the way up, and that's fun, too. This one seems like the type of stock that can burn you if you try to get to cute on the margins.

Opportunities like this don't come along every day. If it doesn't pan out, it was fun, and I'll take my losses and have no regrets. The only way I would have regrets is if I sold out way to early. I'd kick myself for that.

I cant speak for others, but yes I have trimmed here or there to derisk but still have 100K in shares so I feel fine doing that and do not equate that to a day at the casino

Plus I have been offered a beer if I go to Norman this year and am just $48 a share or so away from a free waffle house meal on airline. Gotta diversify man!

A lot of people on here still think it’s a coin flip that this company even makes it

He probably paid $30k for that $100k position, so he's doing good.

The thing is, 50k shares turns into 5 million bucks on the backend if this goes to $100. He will very happy he didn't take profit at $2/share for $70k.

If Kevin Bambrough is correct in his thesis it may be $1000 dollars a share if DOD gives a multi billion dollar contract

Absolutely. That's why I'm treating it like a lottery ticket. It's not throwaway money, but it's not money I need to retire on, either. I'm just going to watch it and not sell until it levels off...

I did but still given it is a sizable amount, it is only prudent to trim mildly to derisk. If I threw $1 or $2 k into it then yeah I would probably stay naked and let ride.

The number of shares I picked up was designed to do this - sell small percentages on way up to recoup some/most of initial investment and have the lions share as a low cost potential home run. Basic derisking.

It does have a modern day gold rush feel to it. I guess if this doesn’t pan out, we can all meet, have a drink and laugh at each other. I’ll pay for the first round.

I got half of mine at around $1. The other half at 1.54. I could’ve gotten at a better price on the latter but I had to wait a few days for the transfer to go through. I told two people about this and both brushed it off as “sell it once it doubled”.

Priceless.
I kind of agree with Kevin that we've been trained to be dumb investors.

What I take from that is that this is a hype stock. That doesn't mean that it's not legitimate, but that the fact that it is $2/share is because it's trendy, as much as anything else going on.

I've put all I'm going to put into it at this point. I like the hype because I think it if does take off, a lot more people will be watching who didn't put money in at $2, but are aware of the 1000 bagger talk and will pump money into it on the way up.

Hated to miss a dip to 1.93 so I added more.
Then I just sold 1,175 at 2.09 because I felt too overweight.

Back to 7,000
That's going to be my number.

Good day!

I didn't sell any.

Who knows if the company will become legit, as quick as it ran up today, with somewhat still limited access, I'm guessing it's going to keep running up for a few days. Maybe skim some profits after another dollar. Or maybe not. It's a lottery ticket, but it'd be nice to get a little along the way in case it crashes.

Igor!

If I mathed correctly this would put it at about a Top 50 company in the world by market cap.
