Doug Casey alerted me to this.

Let’s hope so, interest is really picking up

I think I made the lottery ticket analogy. I know there are people who start out with 100 shares and then buy and sell on the valleys and peaks, and use the gains to build up their position, not to take the profits.
That strategy is not working that well here, and I'm guessing some folks have been burned a bit, up to this point...
I generally check in on things on breaks, but don't have enough time to monitor things to that level. I generally pick stocks for their long term value - ones that I think I should hold for at least a year. This one fits that profile. I think it will be 6 months before we have a clear picture of the which direction this one is going. If this is an acquisition play, I hope they don't fast track it...

I bought some shares with proceeds from mp materials.

I am with you mainly, but on speculative picks such as this one I do try to derisk when the opportunity arises.
As I noted, to me the result is binary - the Company is worth 0 or worth several billion.
By shaving less than 20% of my investment - I have gotten to the point that my binary result is basically close to break even or updside of 100K shares.
I think it would not have been prudent of me, no matter how confident, to not have derisked when the opportunity presented.
Now granted if I had thrown in $1k or $2K, I would have likely not trimmed at all - but to each their own.

But the 2,300 shares I sold this morning more than covered my first 5,940 shares that I originally bought before doing any selling.
So it appears that I've recouped by original buys and then some?

No, it's not

I just thought that my "absurd" 2.41 sell wouldn't hit, so I can't be mad about that.

I’ve done something similar. I have 2,000 shares and it is basically house money at this point so I’m riding it up or down. Don’t want to sell anymore for a long time.

That's the theory. In theory, you have probably already done that because I know you have made profits on NBIS. You could easily say that your profits on NBIS have covered your purchase of HGRAF and that you are covered, right? It's all how you work it out in your own mind, but I don't believe that my profits necessarily have to be from the same stock. The bottom line is that if you are invested, you are at risk. Any time you take profits, you derisk, but you are back at risk if you reinvest it.
In this case, I believe this is an acquisition play, and I'll be happy if it goes to above $20/share before it is acquired. I hope I'm wrong and they take this up to $100+/share. I think we're all hoping this is the path we're on and that it isn't an elaborate grift to make Kevin B and the HGRAF executive team rich as hell. It doesn't feel like that to me, though.

Unrealized gains are your money. If you had 90,000 in unrealized gains and now you have just 40,000, you lost money!

A lot of people on Reddit are saying this will fall off a cliff after earnings on the 21st
Are you guys still buying or are you waiting until then?

So what’s happening on August 21 I keep hearing about? I’ve seen that date multiple times.

That is craziness - earnings release means nothing for this company right now. I will ruin the surprise - They will reportlike 20-30 grand in revenue like last quarter and a little over $1 million in expenses like last quarter.
I doubt there is an earnings call - not what they companies tend to do - tomorrow will be more insightful with her media call.
Remember the earnings on Thursday are as of 6/30/25 - well before anything (and just a note, HGRAF does not have calendar year end so it is actually Q3 results).
I cannot imagine what investment decision is pending for anyone on that date.
I am more interested in a current share count and warrant count, but the financials will not show that

so i imagine the shares will continue to rise if the CEO is talking tomorrow. Shes going to have nothing but good news.
