The marlins are surging right now. Realistically they're probably still too far out to make a run at a wildcard spot but it would be nice if they kept their pieces for a change and didn't immediately sell off their best players.

Yea every time they show the Marlins on Big Inning they are winning, they've been incredible these last few weeks.
They feel like a team that could move off their really coveted pitchers and get back a good bit of talent to continue to build for next year while also competing this year.
I'm guessing there are still plenty of orgs that want their hands on Alcantara and think they can fix him despite the atrocious results.

So the Rangers needing a Closer and the Guardians needing one as well, does that over inflate the market value for any closer or just ones who are known commodities?

DBacks are apparently asking for multiple top 100 prospects in return for 50 games of Geno Suarez. If they hold on that, I don't think he gets moved. There hasn't been a single top 100 prospect traded for a rental in a long time.
