The barge boards are really wide directing a lot of air inboard. With the large airbox intakes, they must have some serious temperature issues with the new formula. Gonna be a great season I think. I hope Caddy can make the midfield some time this season.

Not extremely different car's but certainty not the car they revealed for the livery
Front suspension tie in points. Mirrors look different. Scoop on the nose is much smaller. Tip of the nose looks like it lost a connection point as well.
Interesting to not see any mechanism on front wing aero. That will be cool to see the design.

I don't remember the exacts of this story but the jist was that for the turbo hybrid era Merc F1 knew virtually nothing about turbo systems. Not too different from the rest of the grid. To learn they went to Mercedes diesel engine group who made the large diesels for their semi/work applications. That is where they learned of all sorts of past technologies and came up with the split turbo application in F1.
Everyone was saying that being an engine formula Merc and Ferrari would be the likely sources that could find an advantage. Ford having those same Merc-type resources sounds like thet were/are close.
Everyone talks about f1 influencing road cars but maybe this is one of those examples that is the other way around.

I knew when there was a rumor of a team not making it that it would be Williams. Just had that feeling. Hopefully this isn't 2019 all over again.
