If soccer isn't a sport then baseball isn't either. Yea lets just sit around a diamond for 9 innings and just let the ball come to you every now and again.

i just put soccer bc it uses roughly the same format as the other sports... most of 5A plays it and 32 teams make the playoffs

Soccer has the same level of popularity as baseball does. Some programs have more popular baseball and some have more popular soccer depending on how successful both are. But when it is all set and done no one really gives a shite besides football and occasionally basketball

most of 5A
You know that soccer plays division I,II, and III rather then 5A, 4A ETC.

Only like 4 schools in 5A care about soccer
Baseball has a rich history in LA. And they play 7 innings in HS

well yeah i know that, but D-1 soccer districts are (almost) the same as 5A football districts... D-2 soccer is almost the same as 4A football, and D-3 is 3A and below

Actually I think the reverse is more true. I think you have kids who play on Hubie's club teams because they know they are going to Jesuit and are worried they will not get playing time at Jesuit if they have not come through Hubie's club system.

Chalmette only has 3? I graduated in '07 and in that year alone soccer and baseball were in playoffs.

well yeah we were 4A...
in 5A we've been seeded 29 in football in 2010, 31 in baseball in 2011, and 32 for these basketball playoffs...
