Braves will probably still win the division. Again. After that, just hope we get hot unbeatable Braves and not lose to the A’s Braves.

We're going to win the division because the East as a whole is trash, but this team isn't a serious world series contender until they revamp the bullpen and their offensive approach.

Mets about to be healthy again. I’m not sold on the division by any means.

It's flawed as hell, always has been. It was from the moment AA decided to stick with Rosario and Ozuna to man LF and DH. We are actually lucky Arcia has been having a career year or things would be really ugly.

Meanwhile our GM is making desperation type moves to try and cover for his crappy bullpen by bringing up a kid in AjSS who has only been pitching period for three years and only has like 110 IP on the minors total. Kid should be working on his pitches in the minors, not pitching every couple of days.

The only teams I think are clearly better than the Braves are the Rays and Dodgers (and the A’s of course). There are a handful of other teams on the Braves level but I think the Braves have more upside than most of them with the possibility of getting elite starting pitching back and the power in the Braves lineup.

Totally agree that we have to fix the bullpen (can be done with a little luck and sacrifice) and need a little more grind it out/take what pitcher gives you hitting approach.

I still have hope.

By the way I haven’t heard anything about Fried and Wright in a while. I know worst case scenario is they don’t make it back this year but anybody know what the most realistic scenario is for these two?

Not even the teams that swept them? The Stros and Jays?

Fried has supposedly started soft tossing/playing catch, so he's heading towards the way back. I'll be surprised if we see Wright back this year myself, shoulder injuries are almost always bad news. Particularly when you've already tried the shots.

Definitely in the tier of teams I’d put with the Braves. Quite a few AL teams (Jays, Astros, Rangers, Yankees, Orioles maybe) but admittedly I don’t watch AL as much. I’m not going to put a ton of stock in one head to head regular season series though when comparing teams.

Again forgive me if I don’t panic while we still have a four game lead and are only one back of best record in NL.

Teams are going to have bad stretches. We are in one now. With this stretch of games it shouldn’t last long.

The Yankees are going to pass the Rays in the division

I know you're like 95 years old, so you probably fall asleep by the 5th inning anyway and don't see how bad this bullpen is

The good news is I really don't think we can play much worse and we are leading the division.

It's not panicking to be upset that we've scored 3 runs in 18 innings against arguably the worst MLB team in all of our lifetimes.

We have only been playing worse lately. We lead the division because we were hot as frick to start the season.

Honestly won’t be shocked if the marlins pass us up in the next few weeks

This is as embarrassing as it gets in regular season history for the Braves. How often do you even see a team with a 10-45 record? And here we are, having somehow not only lost a game, but a series to that team.

This team inspires no confidence. Starting pitching is the only thing we can count on. The bullpen is a wreck, and the offense just shows up when it feels like it. So many misleading stats make you believe our lineup is a juggernaut, but they go back and forth between both extremes of the hot/cold spectrum. It's like the whole team is Dansby Swanson.

This is what is so deflating. Edler threw the best game of his life yesterday... and our offense did jack shite to help him, while the bullpen actively sabotaged him.

What I don’t get is why take Elder out after giving up one walk? My ten year old commented when Minter came in that it would soon be 8-1 lol Elder pitched well enough to be given a chance to finish it out, especially with recent bull pen issues. Glad to see Luetge sent down. He’s struggled since he’s been called back up.
