Unfortunately that was the highlight of my day.

He will be the 24th SS inducted into the HOF, you can't convince me there are 23 SS better than he was.

It's absolutely ridiculous for someone to say he shouldn't sniff the HOF, and even stupid for somebody to make a case for him to not be inducted. He made it in his 3rd year of eligibility. You have 15 years. I would say that the BBWA knew what they were doing with this one.

Also, I believe that he was one of the best SS there was too. He would have had way more Gold Gloves were it not for his career overlapping with Ozzie Smith's, and honestly a few of those gold gloves the Wizard won probably could have gone to Larkin, but that award is based alot on name and rep.

I also am a Reds fan, so a little biased as Barry is my 2nd favorite baseball player of all time, but I really don't see how you can make a case to keep him out of the Hall, let alone that he "shouldn't sniff it"
