The early signing period makes it impossible to fire a coach at the end of the season, conduct a coaching search, hire a new coach, and then sign a good recruiting class all within about 3 weeks.
Is there anything in the NCAA rulebook preventing someone like Stoops agreeing to a handshake deal, then start unofficially recruiting outside of NCAA rules for the next few months?
