Central High School (BR) Coaching Vacancy
I wonder if he's still going charge parents for tryouts. He always stuck to his 14 majors team where he pulls kids from Carencro to Pass Christian. Now that he can only play who enrolls at Central should give some perspective to his credibility as a high level coach.

more like san antonio to jacksonville and north to memphis(germantown)

Icing on the cake would be brusly beating the pants off of central. Hopefully mike wouldn’t hold back running the score up. Long shot cause I know they don’t play often

The STA kids are more concerned with jacking up the pickup trucks, blasting hip hop and tatting up than playing baseball these days, hoss.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard those false allegations. Tigers do not charge for tryouts, they ask for a deposit on acct which is applied to your balance IF your son makes the team. Money is returned if you choose not too accept a spot or do not make the cut. Also on players from other states (except south Mississippi) is not true. Upper Louisiana most definitely. I guess the people that make those statements have a child that was not good enough to make the major teams or Didn’t see a lot of playing time and quit. Only the 13-14major teams really travel and we mean travel to Southaven, Atlanta, Florida. Those same accusations about the number of players is ridiculous due to the amount of pitching needed to perform at those events. The other travel ball teams that do this (large rosters, multiple parish/county players) are never bashed. Haters gonna hate!

I'm not backing down. They won as a 7 seed and as an 8 seed.

That is a high seed. There are 32 total teams that make the playoffs. In the grand scheme of things, what’s the difference between a 3 seed and a 7 seed?

not in terms of winning the state championship it isn't.

And both of those have been since the split, so their seeds could have been lower than that if that was the format

I just don’t get your point. It does nothing to diminish winning two titles.

someone understood my point too well and got triggered by it. Best team doesn't always = champions, but champions don't always = best team

So why ask for anything up front?

Regardless of seed, they won back to back titles. Are you saying he’s not a good coach cause he won them but they were only a 7 and 8 seed?

This. His point is “they were low seeds, they didn’t deserve to win the state championship.” Dumb af.

They over adversity to win the titles battling from a lower seed. A lot of that goes to coach Forbes’s and his motivational talks before the games.

The story behind the Kennedy story the first title is pretty impressive how he came up with that. Those kids bought into that and refused to be beat.
