Lamar has to have a sub 70 IQ. His Heisman speech was one of the most unintelligible things I’ve ever heard.

I wouldn’t say making the playoffs in 4 of the 12 seasons before harbaugh being a perennial contender.

Billick made the playoffs in four out of the nine seasons he coached Baltimore, winning the Super Bowl in 2000. Ted Marchibroda coached the Ravens the first three seasons after they left Cleveland.

Billick was there 9 seasons and had a record of .500 or worse in 4 seasons and only made the playoffs in 4 seasons. He won 56% of his games. He coached 8 total playoff games, which is how many road playoff games harbaugh won. 2 division crowns. Harbaugh coached there 18 seasons, twice as long as billick, and he had a total of 5 seasons of .500 records or worse. He has 4 division crowns, made the playoffs 12x and went to two super bowls, winning one.

That’s cool and would be a really good argument if I had said Billick was better than Harbaugh.

Your first post insinuated that Harbaugh winning in a nasty city like Baltimore was uncharted territory until he got there. It wasn’t

Ok, so you think making the playoffs less than 50% of the time is a perennial contender?

So he has no real knowledge of what went down and is speculating. Cool.

He won a Super Bowl and made the ravens a perennial contender in a shite town like Baltimore, one of Americas grossest cities, and has more playoff road wins than anyone.

Baltimore was already solid when Harbaugh got there. They weren't some poverty franchise. They had been to the playoffs 4 out 7 years including a SB win before he was hired plus had been 13-3 just two seasons prior. Ozzie Newsome is the person who set those teams up.

So just use the word contender if it makes you feel better. I don't give enough of a shite to argue about it.

Harbaugh was in the playoffs 2/3 of the time. Billick less than half.

He was a substantial upgrade and for a small market franchise in a shithole city, tough to think they’ll do better.

A 13 on the wonderlic or a HoF coach, you decide.

Lamar is much more of a HoF lock than Harbaugh.

Yeah, I’m sure he’s super plugged in to what’s going on within the Ravens organization.

Look, John Harbaugh is a very good coach. I’m grateful for everything he did for the Ravens. Sometimes, though, it’s time for a fresh start. The Ravens have gotten into a pattern of blowing leads and not being able to get over the hump when they make the playoffs. Changes were needed and Harbaugh allegedly didn’t want to make major changes to his staff, so that means it was time for a change at HC. That’s just what happens.

Lamar is not very good. He’s just not. Blah blah, he’s great, 75 TD’s, ran for 5,000 yards. But can’t wins shite and never will. Inaccurate as hell, stupid AF, he sucks.

If you know where to go, Baltimore actually has some really cool neighborhoods.

I like Baltimore, spent a lot of time there, fun town, but it is a dump.

I think we all know why this board likes Harbaugh more than Tomlin.

I never said they were a poverty franchise, but they weren’t a perrenial contender or known as one. They were a team that had a good run behind a legendary defense.

And it fell apart; they missed playoffs in 3 of Billicks final 4 seasons and they never won a playoff game in his final 5 seasons, including a year in which they were 13-3. They had a 1-3 record in the playoffs after their Super Bowl and of Billicks 5 playoff wins, 4 of them were in that Super Bowl season. They never made it back to the AFC championship either

Contrast that with Harbaughs first 5 seasons.

Playoffs every year
3x in AFC Championship.
1 Super Bowl title
Playoff record of 9-4
