Tucker has a hole in his swing.

Lots of guys who play in the big leagues have holes in their swing. What’s your point?

But they were right there without even trading those guys is my point. Not trading Tucker and Whitley weren’t the reason they didn’t win 2 in 3 years. Hinch over thinking and their absolute inability to drive in RISP at home in a World Series are the reason.
Agreed Whitley and Tucker don’t look like the untouchable guys that Luhnow was touting them as yet. I still think Tucker can play at this level and succeed. Whitley I’m out on, maybe expediting him to the big league roster and him working with Stromm the rest of the year unlocks something in him.
But Luhnow did go all in last year. He got Greinke who threw incredible down the stretch and shoved in his last three postseason starts and left game 7 with a lead. He gave up 4 dudes for Grienke that were touted and could have helped the team long term so he wasn’t playing for the future last year.
You are right about them not having any effect on almost winning, I do agree there. Hinch is to blame when you get down to it.
As for the Greinke trade.I think he saw those players the way many now see Tucker and Whitley. Expendable.
I know its a Monday morning quarterbacking and I'm annoyed about Verlander lol. I'll still watch, still love the Astros, but I'm not going to allow my heart to get broken again

Dusty has never found an arm he didn't think he could make worse

I wasn’t trying to be an a-hole, I can never tell what’s schtick on being negative and what’s someone legit opinions and that gets extremely frustrating whenever bad news actually happens.
Hopefully it doesn’t require surgery and next time we see JV he is healthy and ready to go. Meanwhile we get to see what we got in some young arms and this should still be a fun sprint to the finish line and hopefully the Astros are one of the 8 teams in the league that get to play in the postseason

So who starts Wednesday? Of the present options, it has to be Javier right? He started an instraquad game about 3 weeks ago and pitched 3 innings so he's more stretched out than others. Everyone is going to point to Whitley but they didn't think enough of him at this point to put him on a 30 man roster so I can't see them immediately going that route the first time we need a starter to step in.

@JustinVerlander
The report that I’m currently missing the rest of the season is not accurate. There is a forearm strain... I’m hopeful that with some rest it will heal and I’ll be able to return soon. Thank you for all the well wishes.

Javier or maybe Sneed? Maybe piggy back one with the other to try and get through six? Whoever it is will have to pack a lunch against that Dodgers lineup

Astros favorite Ken Giles to undergo an MRI on his elbow

What a tool. I know he reads the DAT

Seeming like lots of pitcher injuries or reduced performance out of the gate. 3 weeks to get ramped up to mid season form is looking like a problem.
Verlander
Kluber
Kershaw
Strasburg
Giles
Paxton and Ohtani struggled with reduced velo.

He 100% at least browses TD. All these media folks in Baton Rouge or who went to LSU that bash this site still check it for content
