Mariners add one big bat and suddenly
They’re an offensive juggernaut.

Funny how that motivates a team versus giving them a turd sandwich at the deadline.

Blake Snell

They were saying this is the first time he’s ever pitched in the 9th inning.

Imagine this even 10 years ago.

I know this is dumb, but I think the more Jake plays, the more he will be exposed, and the more Chas plays, he may actually round into form.

Jake is stinky right now.

Welp, ig take them any way.

Two straight games the other team basically just handed to you. How about going out and winning a game tomorrow

Kikuchi deserved a win tonight

I like how he kept the ball down. The Rays rt now are not a real test, but he had some weight on him tonight and his performance after that rough start was nothing short of excellent

I mean, we all assumed they had a usage plan for him to maximize his potential, considering the desperation shown with the trade.

Let's see if he keeps it up.

He was good tonight. They Rays have seen a lot of him and he completely altered he pitched. Ditched his curveball and threw a ton changeups. So was it that his stuff was that good or because the Rays were thrown off by a guy who completely changed his pitching approach. I'll look forward to seeing his next outing with a team who preps for that type of pitch usage.
