He lives in New York. Doubt he would take an advisor job anywhere but in New York:

Theres a large Puerto Rican contingent in NYC, so it's not shocking.
Look out for the NYY coming after Correa and dangling that over his head.
Remember Yuli settled his home in Miami because of the Cuban community over there.

Carlos Correa’s brother is in the Astros’ system, and his fiancé is from Texas.
So there may be many Puerto Rican’s in NY, but his family is in Texas.

Guaranteed better production than Beltran.
Great signing, IMO. I value QABs more than HRs, unlike most, and that may be why I feel this way.
Damn old school tendencies are a hard habit to break.

Meanwhile, Arlington signs Lance Lynn for $30 million over 3 years.
L. O. L. what an overpay.

If we’re going to ship assets, I’d much rather ship them to Cleveland for Kluber than to Miami for Realmuto.

This. The offense is fine. If we're making a blockbuster trade and giving up top prospects, get a pitcher.

Remember our starting pitching at the trade deadline when we acquired Verlander? We won it all that year.
Our staff is better now than it was then without Keuchel and McCullers. I think we wait for the right playoff arm at the deadline again.
I think Tucker is already in play for Realmuto, and that is why our offer is best on the table right now. We don’t need Tucker in a trade deadline deal for the playoffs with a Bumgarner type arm.

I don’t want Kluber TBH.
He’s on the wrong side of things in regards to performance/age and he was pretty bad the last 2 years in the playoffs

-No ace/yes Realmuto
-Yes ace/no Realmuto
-No trade/keep Tucker and address needs at deadline
Regardless of which of those 3 happens I’ll be on board and convince myself it’s the smart move and will trust Luhnow going forward

While I do think we need to trade/sign for a decent SP at some point, this is an excellent post. Well said.

I’ll be furious if Tucker is included. Realmuto only has two years left on his deal. If he had three or more it’d be an easier pill to swallow
