No kidding, I went to Passan and Rogers and was sad.

Saw Heyman’s tweet and immediately got hyped thinking about Nola vs Verlander opening night I’m such a sucker for getting my hopes up

Well

quote:

Amid all the doom-and-gloom surrounding the CBA negotiation, there is at least one voice suggesting a deal could be in the offing. MLB Network’s Jon Heyman reports this morning that the two sides are “within striking distance” of a deal, and the two sides could reach a suitable compromise by tomorrow night. MLBTR’s sources disagree vehemently with Heyman’s report, however, and continue to say that a deal is not close.

Yeah thats the only thing I found. It just doesnt seem like they are that far apart and are just being petty assholes. Both sides.

It’s all posturing through the media

With the concessions players reportedly made yesterday I think it’s obvious a lot of progress has been made and they’re closer to a deal

Yea it feels like the players are conceding stuff constantly.

Gotta think the owners are still posturing for now and then will come back with an agreeable deal very soon.

At least I really really hope so

And who signs Jon Heyman's paycheck?

That's why I'm skeptical of his reporting during all this. Hes a mouthpiece for his bosses.

Anyone else constantly refreshing Heyman, Jesse Rogers, and Passan’s Twitter accounts?

I got off Twitter a couple years ago but I have each of those pages in a browser and cycle through refreshing them. Hopefully they get the deal done tonight

He's a douche bag but he's our douche bag. Both are true.

Sounds like 12 or 14 playoff teams is being debated with players pretty strongly against 14.

14/30 teams from a 162 game season is far too many.

@JonHeyman

Current plan is to stay in the stadium and keep talking until a deal is done. Determination to finish this exists.

Feel like they wouldn’t have pushed the deadline back til 5pm today if they weren’t pretty damn close

So it's looking like a deal will probably get done today?
