Well the Sox just signed Ranger Suarez, so all signs point to them shipping a young arm to Houston

A HOU-BOS deal makes a ton of sense.

A deal involving Paredes would have to knock my Sox off

I feel like he is a huge factor in any kind of run this year that could possibly be made.

They can give them Cocksuck and like it. Really don't care about that return as much.

SIAP:

Houston’s pitchers and catchers will report to the facility first and hold their first workouts on Feb. 11. Position players follow with their first workout on Feb. 16

perfectly said.

I think Tucker absolutely shines this season -- he will be surrounded with star personalities so he doesn't have to be "THE guy" like he was in Chicago. I think he puts up a monster year.**

If he stays healthy.

** Post season excluded from prediction.

I think he’s gonna do what he’s done basically every season as a pro: hit .270/.350/.500 with 30 or so home runs, have a weird injury somewhere in there, and be decidedly not worth 60 million dollars

I can’t decide if I wasn’t to sacrifice this season and help the rebuild be quicker by trading Esock or not

I think I lean towards keeping him and seeing how the season goes til mid July and you’d think he could still fetch a solid package at the deadline if we suck

If they trade him it’s gonna be for an outfielder, not for prospects or anything

I tried to get tickets to USA/Mexico yesterday -- sold out in minutes.

Just as well, my son has high school games so I would have to miss those to go see WBC. Not worth it.

Although, the experience of USA/Japan, USA/Mexico, and Japan/Korea in Anaheim in 2006 are all easily Top-8 sporting environments that I have attended in person - the crowds were insanely loud and festive. The rosters on those 4 teams were absolutely loaded with amazing baseball players.

With them spending money on Imai, with his opt-outs, there is no chance the brain-trusts and back-of-trading-card readers go the 'sacrifice this season' route.

If so, what targets are we rooting for here?
