According to Van Gaal, several international players have "flu symptoms," presumably caused by the air conditioning. "But if it goes around in the group, it is worrying." He declined to say how many players are involved. "But not 15." Berhalter said the US coaching staff also struggled with flu-like symptoms upon arrival, which he also attributed to the air conditioning.

Air conditioning causes flu symptoms?

I mean, the U.S. could win… but it will be tough. The Dutch have some of the best defenders in the world, so combine that with the U.S. not being able to score goals, and it will be very tough for the U.S. to put it in the net.

The U.S. may need to put up another clean sheet to have a chance.

Soft.
bullshite

We’re tired the last 20 minutes because we play the first 70 minutes harder than any other team in the tourney. If you want to critique them for employing a bad strategy that mismanages our energy resources, fine… but to call this team soft is dumb. They’ve been playing with their hair on fire, and every minute of it has been a treat

The US team is young, energetic and most of their starters play for good teams in the top European leagues. And the engine, the midfield, is very good. My colleague from Liverpool was impressed with the game against England, saying our team is more athletic and ran the England team to exhaustion. However we have a big weakness, no striker/center forward to finish off in the penalty box. Hopefully the defence stays organized and defends well, and we can get a few goals somehow.

I'm a big Liverpool supporter and watch every game when I can. After coming back from his big injury against Everton (thanks Pickford) VVD is no longer consistently world class and his motivational levels this season have really been off. The team has suffered with his declining level, combined with a struggling midfield, and have had a poor start to the season. If the US can play like they did in the 1st half against Iran they have a very good chance to advance.

2-1 US
US score 2 goals in the entire group stage. It's not impossible that they score 2 against Ned but I wouldn't bet on it

Won’t be a problem during the shootout.

US do not have 5 players that can accurately execute a PK.

No, unless dutch come in and think game is a walk over and play horribly.

Usa tied a bad Wales team, barely beat a shitty Iran, and was gifted a draw by England.

This would be an upset if Dutch lose. And don't listen to soccer boards tools, they don't kno Jack shite about the sport, they think they do and look like fools in every thread posted on there

as i said, soccer dorks on here dont have a fricking clue.

I actually watch a lot of soccer, and team USA had no shot.

It's what it is.

It’s sad we lost, but there’s always next year.
