they were swiftly defeated in a boring 5 game Finals series.

Two games went to OT. One the Magic were a layup away from winning and the other they led going into the last few minutes and missed FTs gave the Lakers a chance to come back.

was Lebron a quiet cancer his 1st stint in Cleveland? He fits that same criteria.

Well when they were both at their original team d12 played a hand in lebron leaving to make super friends. Dwight in ORL > Lerbon first CLE stint.

I laughed when the rockets put on a big show to try to sign Dwight. He looks like a great athlete. But he is a mental headcase and plays like a pussy. You can't put the ball in his hands in crunch situations because he is such a bad foul shooter and he is overrated as a defender. Yes he knows how to block shots. But that doesn't automatically mean he is a good defender.

One of the dumbest things I've ever read on this site.

He's obviously not as good now as he was in his prime, but saying Dwight is overrated as a defender is asinine.

Here is some reading material for you, since you are uneducated when it comes to basketball:

Same poster who said harden doesn't draw fouls in the postseason. Abundantly clear at this point that he's a casual fan who takes the narratives he hears and runs with them without spending any time to see if they're even true.

Yep. Many of his arguments are cliches and myths that are perpetuated by uneducated fans that have been proven wrong time and again.

And he had the nerve in another thread to call posters here dumb when it came to basketball.

I just noticed him in the last week I'm sure he'll be here while the Spurs are alive and then he'll be gone again.

He was the defensive anchor, he was a defensive beast in his prime. But they honestly only had 2 relevant seasons. When they made the Finals in 2009 and when they made the ECF in 2010 and flamed out v the Celtics. He's never been on a 60 win team even. Before and after that, he really hasn't been on a title contending team. He is a beta

No, Lebron does not fit that criteria because he had some LOUSY teams around him.

He led a team with Mo Williams as his 2nd option to 66 wins.

He guided a 50 win team that was pure garbage to the NBA Finals.

Honestly, Lebron has had his share of disappointing playoff moments (2010 ECSF, 2011 Finals) but he has made 6 Finals Appearances and has won 2 Championships... so I don't think the comparison is valid.

Not to mention Lebron is a better teammate

Lebron can be the alpha or beta on a championship team, Dwight might not even be capable of being a beta and his game doesn't fit in smoothly into a championship team's agenda.

Honestly Lebron and Dwight are the same age so it's fair to compare to careers like this: ONe is 2-4 in NBA Finals, other is 0-1... Lebron has 4 MVPs and Dwight has 0... Dwight does have a DMPOY or 2 if I'm not mistaken, and nobody's saying he's an absolute scrub.

If you ask 100 random NBA players who would be a better teammate, over 90 if not 100 would say Lebron.

Lebron is still a top 3 player in the world, whereas Dwight has fallen out of the top 10.

At no point was Dwight a better player than Lebron James.

Harden is a phenomenal player... his ability to draw FTA's at an extremely high clip is amazing..., but I honestly think Houston has to consider retooling the entire roster around him, including Dwight.

Great defense, that Dwight Howard
LINK

I've gone to 10 rockets games this year. I get free tickets all the time and take advantage of that. Sure I am a Spurs fan and have watched great basketball for most of my life. So comparing the Rockets to the Spurs is kind of unfair to the Rockets. Also, I never said that people on here don't know baskeball. I said the Rockets fans on here don't seem to know basketball. Mainly Boom, who had Harden on his All-NBA first team.

Howard is leaving HOU after this season I only see one scenario that he stays and that's if the offers from others teams he gets is so low that HOU has the best offer. And he still may leave even in that case.

WEll that's a step in the right direction toward getting back to 50-55 win territory IMO.

So you respond to an entire career of dominant defense with one play?

And what does you going to 10 Rockets games this year have to do with anything?

You are terrible at supporting your arguments.
