No they arent very very good, the only team they played thats comparable to West Monroe was St.Paul and they got destroyed. Im hoping they pull it off but WM should win easily.

Your so right. Parkview,Westgate,Parkway, and Ruston suck so bad. Guess Mandy should just pack it up they haven't beaten
any good teams
....dude comparing St.Pauls to WM is like comparing Snookie to Megan Fox

Interestingly so does Byrd. Could be a really good matchup.

Guessing you're a Mandy fan? St Pauls beat Mandeville very soundly, wasnt even a contest. Why do you say that?

Where did I say they havent beaten any good teams? I said the only team they played comparable to West Monroe was St.Paul.

ST.Paul was much better than most on this board thought and West Monroe isnt as good as usual. I think both teams on the bottom half would beat West Monroe.

West Monroe has never lost a semifinal game at home. If you look back, it's usually a beating honestly. WM's success this year will depend on health. A lot of kids were hurt last week. If they can get a half from them, they'll win. If they can't go, WM will be in trouble.

WM would beat all of the teams you listed soundly.

I was just glad airline is back in the playoffs again. We a dang solid team when I was there. Calvin Dawson was a beast in the backfield.

St pauls and wm don't belong in same sentence.

Mandy may not beat wm - but they are indeed very good!

Because one lost to the 32 seed in the first round and the other will be in the dome next weekend?

Just depends on WM's health. They received a lot of knee injuries last week (for some reason). Overall they are hurting. That and a few fumbles could mean an "upset".

West Monroe's defense is incredibly good and is playing on another level than most of the other teams in the state.

The defensive ends are big and fast.
#45 is a hard hitting linebacker, several running backs this year have been laid flat on their back this year by that guy.
A couple of weeks ago, a kid from Haughton was knocked out cold on a kick return by another West Monroe line backer.

The defensive backs for West Monroe are fast and can cover a receiver like a blanket.

Take the radio announcers words with a big grain of salt. The radio announcers for West Monroe are big homers and are second rate, especially the guy named Jim. Frank Hoffman was one of the best play by play announcers in the state but had to step down due to health reasons.

Don Shows should go out and get someone on Hoffmans level to do the play by play on the radio for West Monroe. He could call a game as good as anyone I have ever heard on the radio.

West Monroe wins it all this year against Byrd in the Dome.

Mandeville has not played anyone with the caliber of athletes WM has now and has had over the past 15 years. WM will run the Skippers out of Ouachita Parish with an arse kicking they wished they never had. WM will take it all again.

Everyone is playing for WM except for OL Jay Hoogland who has a high ankle sprain. Talked to the guys yesterday at practice and they are ready to roll. Every team this time of the year is dinged up. You have to play through it. And WM will.

Natchitoches Central played Byrd in pre season and beat them 5 scores to 2. WM and NC played a very competitive game, with WM pulling away late, but the score was tied late in the 3rd or early 4th QTR.

Carencro DESTROYED NC!

Carencro runs a very effective double slot option attack. Huge, athletic, QB and #5 is an exceptional back, who if qualified would have some CUSA level offers. Two very quality D-lineman.

Carencro is the best of those three, IMV.

Byrd's QB is exceptional and those kids play extremely hard.

Should be an exciting final 4 in 5A

Mandeville has a chance, so long as the refs are not from Monroe area.
