I'm curious how you'd do this? I run a Madden league and want to
Do a randomized team "draft" order but can't figure out how to stream it without recording off screen with a phone.

Watching the Youtube vid now.
See I got the Yankees
. Pretty good team typically from what I've seen in the past.
Are you going to use the Paypal addresses or what will you use to ship?

I'll make it up in the hoops one

I do them before the break, but you have given me pause as to why that's necessary here. Breakers do it cause they're trying to fit in 10 breaks a night. As long as I have a fully paid for break, I can stream live the randomize and give people a day or so to trade....
I think for us that would be better for us since it's just one break at a time. I wouldn't mind paying the fee and then a little extra to trade for a team like the Mavs (dying for a damn Dirk auto) or the Cowboys if we do NFL soon.
I'm more of a collector than a re-seller, but would if need be to make up the money

In sure your trade the Browns for Cowboys lol I'd trade browns and $200 for cowboys for a 2016 case break

Everyone who hasn't yet please send me your address to Shamelesspel@gmail.com along with the TD handle for the break. I can't just see physical addresses in PayPal because I was sent money.

I'm really excited about how well the first break went and the overwhelming positive feedback. This is a lot of fun for me. There's a reason the two styles of breaks are PYT (pick your team with set prices) or random teams. I don't mind shaking things up from the status quo so let me try to explain a little regarding that suggestion.
I'm going to heavily consider doing that on the hoops one. I would randomize the teams a day before the case break LIVE to give y'all a chance to trade. I'd suggest being willing to spend money on top of trading your team if you are going after one of the better teams. If you want the Lakers and have the Pistons you may have to do Pistons +70-80 for Lakers. There is just that much of a gap in value.
I will say if the trade discussions become personal down the line and bring any negativity into this process, this will be the last time I do it that way. It definitely makes sense to try it and allow people to chase players/teams they want. I want optimal fun for everyone involved and having your teams could be a part in that for some. It also adds a layer of gamesmanship to the process that intrigues me.
We'll see. I don't mind being unconventional compared to other breakers. The things I really won't waver on that are completely necessary are doing everything live, protecting the cards properly, and doing everything out in the open.
My main goal is the same as yours. Have fun. As corny as that sounds. It took a lot of work to make it work yesterday and still needs more work to make the experience even better. The difference for all of us though is that it is not churn em and burn em. I'm plenty open to dialogue and trying things as long as everything stays SIMPLE, civil, and chill.
Yes, I get more out of it than just opening cards. But I can tell you one thing. Breakers use the retail value of their products. Not the current value to price. The percent I make is significantly smaller than those who do it for a living. That is the truth. I don't want y'all thinking I'm acting like I do it completely free when we both know I get a little out of it for my time. But I'm not lying when I say minimum wage-ish. The difference is making $8/ hr for doing something enjoyable and a hobby is fine with me. But that's also why I keep my ear to the ground and answer all yalls questions. The second this becomes a grind or people act like jerks to each other, this becomes real shaky. I like providing a personalized and more affordable breaking service. I wish someone had been around to do that when I got into it. Instead I did too many $105 teams in $3k cases that had 40 cards total and lasted 10 minutes.
ETA: So just some "real talk" for those curious when there are suggestions that come up.

I thought the card industry had become over saturated and essentially dead. Is that no longer the case?

Oddly enough, they've figured out ways to reinvent themselves. Instead of relying on rare cards alone, almost all products have combinations of autos, game worn jerseys, game used balls, game used bats etc. So you aren't just getting cardboard anymore, you are getting relics and autos from the players themselves. Rookie Patch Auto cards from the top 10 or so picks in last years NBA draft from National Treasures fetch anywhere from 300+ up to thousands. Ben Simmons has an exclusive deal with Upper Deck (no autos etc on cards), so he only had 150 or so standard rookie cards in the flagship NT product. Each of those sold for 1k plus and were sequentially numbered.
I sold a Simmons sequentially numbered to /25 from Prizm for $750.00 a couple months back. It's essentially become its own little form of a stock market. Collect the right players and make money.
RPAs from zeke and Dak were going for thousands from football.
Aaron Judge is going bananas right now. If you have a base card they're worth 7-8$.
There's also these big consignment companies that buy up cards and help control the market. Its fascinating stuff.

That's interesting. Very cool. My old box of cards from 80s to mid 90s would be fun to go through.

I just went through mine. Made some money, but the 90s didn't hold value for crap when it came to hoops. Your eighties stuff may be a much different story though.
It's a weird world. Got $120 for a Mitch Richmond Patch Auto from this year's NT batch. That's not bragging. That's just showing how weird the market is. He's not exactly the highest profile player out there... Today's cards seem to hold more value today than the older ones. Rookie autos and such from guys like Westbrook are holding value really well too, which is nice to see.
Quick tip - if any of your stuff is sequentially numbered from the 80s/90s, it is probably worth some money if it's in the /500 or less range. Really rare insert cards are the other hot sellers. The "1:288" types. Save you a little time at least.

Of more import than my rambling.
-All the cards, giveaways, raffles, and mirror images are sorted and ready to go.
-Will print out the addresses I have tomorrow at work and get in touch with those I still need addys for.
-A good chunk will be in the mail on Tuesday.
It's 3:45. Ran out of gas when it came to shipping labels.

Just checking in on this, Did anybody get anything valuable?
Posted on 7/17/17 at 11:24 am to ShamelessPel
I sent out e-mails to everyone I need addresses for to ship the cards.
H E - your e-mail address kicked back to me.
Rojo - The account you sent from doesn't have your TD handle in the description. I'm not entirely sure which one is you, only that you paid.

Nothing ground shaking but Swanson auto /99, multiple zach Collins autos, multiple Thaiss autos inc a 1/1 plate, two moniak autos including a /50. Jorge Mateo cracked ice auto to /25. I threw in 44 prospect autos so there was 76 total (maybe 77 I'm not sure if the printing plate counted as an auto. It felt like we get one extra but not sure). No super low parallel base. An abnormal amount of cracked ice atomic refractors which was cool. I raffled a Bregman Finest RC auto /150, Michael Thomas Clear Vision RC /79, Buddy Hield Optic rookie insert /199, Jeremy Hill NT Patch /49, and a Travin Dural /99 pretty purple RC auto at the end.
An above average case. The autos were about third-half real players which is a good ratio for a prospect product. Was a fun break.

I'll throw a shout out to ShamelessPel. That was very generous giving away a bunch of his own autographs away, including the Bregman blue refractor. Not many breakers do that. What NBA case are you getting?

ETA: I'm using the below when I start the thread to explain the products by the way. You probably know them. The last little bit after the descriptions was me to you personally.
All 16-17
4x Absolute
2x Gold Standard
2x Limited
6x Prizm Blaster Boxes (rookie card pulls hopefully here)
2x Reveloution
2x Select
I've opened a lot of hoops and each of them has their ups and downs. The cool thing about blowout cards is they will give you sales prices on boxes that they do on cases.
Absolute has some really really cool relic cards, but it's harder to find on card autos and rookies.
Gold standard will provide some on card auto action with a more veteran feel.
The Prizm blaster boxes are there to hit some prizm rookies, which are one of the more sought out rookie cards.
Revolution provides some really aesthetically pleasing cards at a good price point.
Select is a little bit of everything. Cool rookies. Some nice on card autos. Die cuts.
Limited gives that nice clean higher end feel without having to spend an assload of money.
Everything was done to be complimentary and maximize hits that have a shot at being worth something if rare ones are pulled. There wasn't just one that was good enough with enough cards to give some entertainment value. I'll break a single case of gold standard or absolute down the line. Just one smaller, quicker break.
People are just hyped for the hoops one, so I want to bring the bang for the buck. For $46.00 a head I feel I am bringing the bang. I'm proud of this mix.

I don't collect much NBA, so I don't know anything about any of the products. I still have my '90s collection stashed away somewhere. I enjoyed watching the MLB break. I hope you can do it again.
