so if you did this and got a judge, the most demand for him would be right now?

So no one holds onto baseball cards anymore? I mean my Bonds rookie isn't worth anything?

just out of curiosity, as someone who isnt really well versed in how this all works, how long do people generally hold onto these cards before selling?
Depends on the player/prospect. If they haven't been called up yet, you probably want to hold onto the cards in hopes they do. If they are hot right now, like Aaron Judge, you sell that baby the second it comes in the mail.

The game has changed. It's hard to tell. But when a rookie Dak Prescott Patch Auto sells for $2500. You take that $2500. However, some rookies will get better and become bigger stars. I'm not selling any of my Kris Dunn cards. I don't necessarily believe in him, but if he becomes a star, the value of his auto, patch, and low numbered rookies will be 10x as much.

Good question. Lower value rookies or numbered cards are usually kept in a sleeve and top loader. Sleeves are like 50 cents for a pack of 100 or so. Top loaders cost $2 for 40 or so. More valuable autographs are usually kept in a magnetic one touch case. I think those cost $2 or so. Wal-Mart and Target usually have some of these supplies if you don't live near a hobby store. Some send off valuable cards to be professionally graded which sometimes increases the value of the card if graded high. But that can cost $8-10.

Doubtful. People went nuts over Bonds when he broke McGwire's home run record.
I keep some of mine. Some I don't. It varies.

Yes. Demand for Judge is through the roof right now.

2016 Bowman's Best Baseball will feature the top MLB veterans, rookies, prospects and MLB draft picks of 2016,
sorry for what are probably stupid questions, im just intrigued by all of this

Yes to answer your question.
2013 Rookie Card
It's why prospects first roll outs like Mickey Moniak are well sought after.

Yes. It's confusing, but Bowman prints cards of players before they make the majors. And yes, when X player reaches the majors they have a card with a rookie card logo on it. The term "rookie card" is used very loosely by those in the MLB collecting community. Some want the first Bowman prospect cards. Some prefer the later RC logo cards. Some want both. Both are still valuable. Everyone has their own preferences.

If anyone wants a second spot, just say so. The quicker this fills, the better. Less stress on me to keep up with this thread and who's in/out. Then it becomes me tracking who's paid, and we're good to go. I've limited it to two spots per person.

Nope. I'll gladly take that thing off of your hands.
I'm thinking about getting in this. I'll be on the road tomorrow so I'll double check back in tomorrow night.

Went to the records in PayPal and you did indeed pay ahead of 24 and 25. Fixed.
