Jeff Tedford is an excellent coach. Who has done better at Cal since he left?

He's the Bears OC and really wasn't that bad at Oregon. I guess if he gets canned there and ends up as a college OC you can add him

Lane Kiffin hasn't been mentioned? He's the poster boy.

Raiders(at 31, youngest HC in history)->Tennessee->USC on probation->OC at Alabama-> FAU-> no longer hearing his name mentioned for coaching gigs.

Sidenote: If he'd taken the LSU OC job, turned the offense around like Brady is doing, kept his nose clean for 2-3 years, I have to think he'd be in line for another SEC level job. Instead he's 1-2 and being forgotten about at FAU. He might have missed the boat.

Whoever WM Head Coach is. Dude has taken a gold mine and in 8 years hasn't won a damn thing.

Even when getting Evangel and the big bad wolves out of 5A.

College I would say Sumlin or Kelly of course.

Soon to be Sean Payton in the NFL. Dude will fall on his face these next 6 weeks or more.

Definitely Hugh Freeze... he would’ve been fired quickly afterwards even without the off the field issues.

Mike Martz went from genius Super Bowl winning HC to completely out of football in like 8 or 9 years.

Don't think there was any faster descent than Botch Jones.

Mark Mangino is close. He was 12-1 at Kansas, got fired two seasons later and is now an assistant at Youngstown State.

He was a miracle worker and KU and hasn't sniffed a HC job since.

Tressel was a success at Ohio St but not a hot coaching name

Dennis Franchoine is right up there...

Won big at Div II Pittsburgh State. Moved up to first FBS gig at New Mexico and actually took them to bowl games, finished with a 33-36 record which is pretty impressive for the Lobos. Parlayed that into the TCU job and did well there. Took over at Bama and took a 3-8 team to 7-5 his first year, beating the shite out of Auburn in Auburn 31-7. 2001 was his last bowl win. 2002 he went 10-2 and whipped both Tennessee and Nick Saban’s LSU, both on the road. Team was ineligible for a bowl. But he was a rock star in the coaching world at that point. Programs were literally throwing money at him.

Skipped town for A&M and the Ags bragged about stealing him from Bama as payback for Bama taking Bear Bryant. Fell apart. 77-0 meme. Went to three bowl games, but lost all of them badly. He had one decent season there, but ended up getting busted selling insider info (like injury reports and assistant coaching moves) to Aggie boosters for like $1,200 a pop and that ultimately helped get him fired. Took a job at Texas State. They moved up to FBS where they started out decent, but fell off the map and he resigned.

Wasn’t there a threat at one time that he was a candidate fo LSU? I shudder to think

no wonder the rest of the state hates y'all

Outsider me is seeing a program that wins district every year and goes to the Dome a bunch. At any given time y'all are always in people's top 5 or 10.
