That tie might turn a tiebreaker come seeding time.
They were like 15 yards out. The odds of that are <10%. A FG from that range was a 95% chance. 10 percent of a win share is less than 95 percent of a half share.
Going for it would be the type of decision that costs you a playoff spot.

They definitely mismanaged the clock on the last drive and showed zero urgency in an effort to WIN the game.
However, kicking the FG was easily the right move with 1 second left.

I didn’t watch the game at all last night, so after reading this I just assumed it was tied at the end when Green Bay had the ball…

I am still struggling to understand why they were milking the clock from the start of their final drive while 80 yards away with less than 5 minutes left. For most of it they were allowing the play clock inside 10 seconds before snapping it and it felt like they thought that Dallas would get the ball back if we scored, which I'm pretty sure wouldn't have happened. And what I was afraid was going to happen is exactly what did happen...no time for a good effort to try and win the effing game outright. So much stupidity you have to wonder how some of these guys still have jobs this morning. Bailed out by an impartial clock operator.
Side note...how does the NFL not have tenths of a second under ten seconds on the clock? So stupid.
ETA: to add, yes, OP is a goddamn moron. Going for the win there from 10 or 12 yards out would have been the stupidest fricking thing they could have ever done...but I guess considering that game I'm surprised they didn't try it.
