No. I’m pretty sure they still haven’t had a single winning season since its inception in 2000. Best we ever went was 5-5. So much talent around us too but we never seemed to get any of it.

Kennesaw Mountain.

Had a winning season in 07 and 08.

played for state in biggest category my senior year. 1959 season.
our Mlb/center broke his thumb in practice. the opponent hit two TD runs right up the middle.

I don't follow high school football now. barbe was being built when I was there.

My high school was a state power in Texas in the 80s. It used to be mostly upper class whites.

But section 8 housing/apartments and immigration slowly took its toll. Now the school is majority hispanic and has won a combined 6 games in the last 6 years. It's hard for them to get kids to come out for football since hispanic boys don't want to play football.

I’ll post what I posted on the SECr.

Richard King HS in Corpus Christi, TX.

School has been open over 50 years and has I believe 9 total playoff appearances. 4 of those were blowouts in round 1. 3 of them ended in round 3, which would have been final 16 teams in the class/division.

Overall, of the 11 public schools in the city, I’d say my alma mater is probably 6th or 7th best historically.

I’m curious how other state’s locations impact the talent. Texas has 4 regions, region 1 is typically West Texas, Panhandle, and North Texas. Region 4 is usually Austin and everything south. 2 and 3 are Dallas/Houston schools.

Nobody south of SA has won a title in a major classification in about 60 years. There have been a few 3A/2A schools that do well and bring home some hardware.

The majority of big class titles come from the metros of DFW/Houston and now Austin.

My high school was very good - fairly consistently top 25 - 30 in the country in our heyday - in the 90’s and early 2000’s. I think it’s 12 state titles overall in the largest class with the last in the late 2000’s. The school has softly de-emphasized football in recent years.

Our arch rival is one of the best programs in America and regularly plays other top tier programs in the Midwest and Southeast. They had 8 BCS school signees in the class a few years behind mine.

Started at Pineville HS, moved to West Monroe HS my junior year. Went from being a Rebel to a Rebel. All my kids also graduated from WMHS. Pretty decent athletic program all-round since mid 90’s.

Yes, my high school had a very good football team (Illinois, so relatively speaking compared to Louisiana )

+/- 2,000 students, IHSA class 7A.

14-1 and lost the state championship in 2OT my freshman year. 15-0 and won State my sophomore year. Undefeated regular season but knocked out in 2nd round my senior year. Had a few guys go D1 each year.

The long time coach retired due to health issues not long after I left and they took a step back for a bit, but were state runner-up in 2015 behind a QB who went to play receiver at Northwestern. Haven't followed them at all since.

Nope. Arabia Mountain High School.

The 3 years i was there, we won 3 games each season. In the years since I graduated in 2012, they did go to the playoffs about 3 or 4 times, so that's pretty cool.

Also my sophomore year was the school's inaugural year of being open, so the history is extremely short.

Franklinton - 1 state title, 2 runner's up, several semi's and quarters in the modern era. Not bad for a podunk town.

Bishop Kelly High School
Boise, ID
Enrollment: 900
State Titles: 6 (94, 04, 05, 10, 13, 14, and 15)
Notable Alumni: none it's freaking Idaho. I played with an MLB pitcher and some BSU kids and we had an Elite 11 QB for the early 2000s although I'm sure that was more of a daddy thing than anything.

No.

Derek Carr is the only notable alumnus in the NFL.

Clay Helton and Tyson Helton both played for my HS, but neither made it to the NFL. Still, both have done well enough in the coaching ranks.

They’re still one of the top programs in the state. The move up to 6A along with the resurgence of Westlake has hindered them a bit.
