You guys get stuck in this liberal/conservative bullshite and the fact of the matter is that LeBron is a grown arse adult like you and I. He can say what he damn well pleases, just like we can. If you agree, cool.... if you disagree, cool. However, the ignorance you all spew behind a keyboard shows your true colors.

Agreed, LeBron has just as much a right to give an uninformed, narrow minded opinion as we do. Most of us do it all the time here. But his name and stature allows his opinion to reach many, many, many more folks than ours and is much, much more affecting.

So while I agree some of the attacks here are as ignorant as his original statement, I do think it warrants challenging, even moreso because it gets so much play.

I'd like to see what LeBron pays his employees. Obviously if it's less than what he's making, it's slavery.

Tiger Ugly, I definitely hear you. I think what you said makes sense rather than just saying “he barely graduated high school” and “he didn’t go to college”. He is extremely influential and he has a platform. However, this is something he and many other athletes, of all races, believe is going on in sport. Why not try to comprehend what he is saying rather than being a child about it?

Because LeBron is brainwashed by all the same shite university college professors and the liberal media shoves down everybody's freaking throat 7 days/week, 24hrs/day.

He doesn't understand that race isn't a relevant issue in the specific point he is trying to make. Everyone is essentially payed slaves for at least 40 hrs/week to whomever our employers are. We all have the option to quit and live in a carboard box, or in a van down by the river, but that idea doesnt appeal to 99.99% of the population.

The rest of us average Joe's should be so lucky as to make the kind of money an NBA player does, but if we did I bet we would not be bitching about it as much as he is.

Unfortunately, the truth is we are all slaves for a large portion of our lives so long as we have to hold down a job to survive. You would think any pro athletes would be glad to make the kind of money they do, and quit complaining about it, because very few have any idea what it's like being an average slob and busting your arse everyday for what would be peanuts to all of them.

But it is about dems vs repubs. Why do you think the NBA all of a sudden hated Trump when he got elected. All the coaches and players talked shite to him.

Actors and NBA players (most of them) spew their political shite minds all over the place because they have huge followings and are controlled by the Dems.

A lot of players specifically mentioned how Trump was campaigning and the things he was saying about NFL players made them feel strongly against him. Especially with the support he received from NFL owners.

To be honest, the people who care the most about his opinion seem to be people who get mad at it.

I've never once met a person that said anything like "I really respect and value LeBron James's political and social opinions." I see people on this board get super worked up being mad at his political and social opinions.

Also, this board's political page has a thread about the Antarctic citadel the secret cabal meets in, as proved by a photo of a shadow from a rock formation. Let's not get crazy and act like the average political and social discourse is at a super high level and it's only LeBron who poses a danger to that.

If you want to read more about the Antarctic Citadel:

His statement is patently false. There is no factual basis that those 2 things are alike.

Now that LeBron is going to out for several games, he has time to work on subject-verb agreement. I’ve never heard someone with as big a problem with it as him.

Tremendous athlete.

Not a tremendous intellect.

Problem is, he thinks he's both.
