Steph was important, sure
But to say equally responsible with Klay is a joke

He absolutely was. If steph doesn't go on his run in the 3rd quarter, the Warriors lose the game

your numbers aren't gonna look good with that cast

After looking at it, he was absolutely top 5 my man

Not really. I'd actually like to switch out KG for dirk. He had a great year that year. Led the league in ws/48. 5th in ORtg. 11th in TS%. 2nd in PER (LeBron was 6th in PER)

Its close. Their game's are so different it really hard to compare. Would be like pippen vs reggie miller. Take away scoring and lebron is clearly much better. And the scoring is pretty close. Obviously curry is the better shooter as he is over pretty much anyone. I just do not think that puts him over lebron. Not yet anyway.

I think you meant to say take away 3pt shooting. Peak LBJ is as good/efficient scorer as there ever was.

No. Lebron is not clearly a better scorer than curry is. They are close in that regard. Lebron is clearly better in the other aspects of basketball ie defense and rebounding.

lebron really wasn't this remarkable player in 2007. Yes, he was a top player in the NBA but he wasn't top 5.

Wasn't tip 20 in ORtg. Was barely top 15 in DRtg. Was barely top 10 in ws/48. And was just starting to come into his own as a facilitator. He really wasn't
#1 in ORtg was David Lee.
Plenty of non-superstars in the top 20 as well... included antonio daniels, kevin martin, shane battier, anthony parker, jose calderon, chucky atkins, mehmet okur .
I'm not sure missing the top 20 in ORtg rules you out as a top 5 player. And DRtg is not a complete measure of defense obviously.

Eh I don't think it's that absurd. Kobe, Tim, Nash, Dirk, Melo, Amare id probably rank all ahead of him that season. He's definitely a far superior player now than he was then.
ETA: not saying I agree with him, just saying you could make an argument

Carmelo and Amare have never been better than Lebron

The East won the NBA title in 2004 with the Pistons
The East lost in game 7 in the nba finals in 2005 with the Pistons
The East won the NBA title in 2006 with the Heat
So tell me again how it was garbage in 2007?

I have never really liked LeBron. I especially hated him in Miami but probably just really dislike him now. And with that said you guys can't be serious that you would take Steph over James at their peak. I wish I could but it isn't even close.
Posted on 5/31/16 at 8:41 am to JackVincennes
Although if he keeps this up for another 6-8 years Steph will have a cats gory all his own due to the fact that we have never seen a perimeter player like him.
