Has his "hook up guy" been identified? If not I'm sure he's lying by saying he wasn't there at the time so he doesn't implicate him. If he was named or fired by now you can bet he's driving a new camero by now.

It what I always thought happened.
Hell I was in college and had friends working at Subway, Taco Bell or whatever and got free stuff. Maybe when you're the Heisman trophy winner you can't do that but I laugh at people being shocked at this. Please.

I'm sure this perspective has been brought up in this thread but I think it makes sense that Winston shoplifted. It doesn't matter if the guy giving you the crab legs says "I got you" or not. Unless he's putting a $0.00 price sticker on them after measuring the order, he has no control of the situation. You don't pay for anything in the back. In the video, Winston just walks right out, so the hook up isn't with a cashier either. So if he doesn't have a hookup at either of those places then who is giving him the benefit? A manager who gives him a wink & a nod every time he walks out and "handles" the situation if anyone questions Jameis?

What doesn't make sense? The guy that gave him the crab legs said I got you. That's the nature of the hookup. Seems pretty cut and dry to me.
I'd surmise that this isn't the first time he did this. So it worked plenty of times before he got caught.

It doesn't make sense because you don't pay for anything at that counter. Everyone gets crab legs without paying...because you actually pay at the checkout lane. A hookup in the back of the store does you no good unless they're altering the price or something.
I don't think its cut and dry either way.
