5 on 5 game or a full game with the full roster?

Bobcats would punish them because of their bench.

But if we played a 5 on 5 game, for 48 mins...

Bobcats by 15+..pulling away in the second half.

Kemba Walker balled all over Kentucky last year, and he barely plays for Charlotte.

So you're comparing 4 seed Kentucky last year with overall number 1 seed Kentucky this year? A team with 4 extra awesome freshman?

Gotcha.

I'm just wondering how many times the Bobcats would lose to Indiana or Vanderbilt. Those teams managed to beat Kentucky, yet some are actually speculating on how much a challenge the Kentucky players would be for an NBA team.

40 point game, on a bad night for Charlotte and a good night for Kentucky, easily.

If it was one game I would bet Charlotte big.

But if they played 50 times, I think Kentucky would take a few.

Kemba Walker was one of the two or three best players in college basketball last year and he's shooting only 37% from the field in the NBA. You just can't underestimate the difference between the NBA and college basketball.

We are forgetting the fact that Anthony Davis or possibly one of Kentucky's other players will be on the Bobcats in a few months.

Jesus Christ people! DJ and tyrus are two of the worst starters in the league, if tyrus even starts anymore!

I agree with the OP. This might be the closest college/pro matchup we would ever see..

Walker shot 42.8% at Connecticut his senior year. 40% as a junior.

He just took a lot of shots.

Kentucky has NO heft. they would get pushed around inside.

Kentucky are 3 freshmen and 2 sophs. They dont run any plays.
They would be in trouble if the pro team could get back on defense and the pro team did not turn the ball over much.

Charlotte. by 20. Kentucky has no depth. Kentucky has no heft inside. Kentucky does not run any offense.

On days when Kentucky was HOT from 3, they could win one.

On days when the pro team was COLD from 3, Kentucky could win one.

This is not the best team I have seen in NCAA history. they have no set plays. Its not even the best Kentucky team.

The OP must be very young to think this Kentucky team could run with the pro's. I went to UK and love the game and have been a big fan since 1961. Some of the UK teams that did not even win the NCAA's were better than this team. This one could still win it all but this group of teams is not as strong as when no one could go pro until their class graduated.

I don't. Read.

I think they could keep it around a 20 point game if they played well.

This Kentucky is so good because they are amazing in transition at the college level and not many teams can run with them. As bad as the Bobcats are on defense relative to other NBA teams, their transition defense is infinitely better than any college team. Kentucky would only get a handful of transition opportunities that they would normally get in the college game.

Plus you don't even know if guys like Doron Lamb and Darius Miller (Kentucky's best shooters) have consistent range that stretches beyond the NBA 3.

Neither can Charlotte. Dead last in the league.

Bobcats up by 20+ at the half. Then they empty their bench, rest the starters for the next ludicrous hypothetical "good college/bad pro team" matchup and still win by 30.
