dude I think you're one of the very best posters on here...but the entire "I am shel and I make valid points-you do not" schtick is getting old.

Fair enough.

Let's roll this discussion back into Game 3 shell we? 17 points in the past 7 quarters. Playing virtually every minute.

shel won't defend LeBron's offensive performance tonight. He will defend what LeBron has done throughout the season and the Eastern Conference playoffs (and rightfully so), but there is no defending LeBron's game tonight in terms of his offensive mindset and approach.
Ahhhh. I missed that.
Thanks for covering for me, you completely summed it up.

i'm guessing Deshawn still has the bad taste in his mouth from his feud with LBJ when he was in DC

The problem is that most people can't accept that being the best player in the game and being the best player in the 2011 NBA Finals are not mutually inclusive.

Damn he was passive tonight. Wade played not like batman, like Superman IMO. He is stepping up big time and this is the first game where I really do feel Lebron just had a bad game. Wade will deservedly win the Finals MVP when this thing is over IMO. Doesn't mean shite for Lebron's legacy or whatever IMO. The Lakers had Kareem, Magic, and Worthy all win Finals MVP at some point.

when i look back on this series in a few years, i will remember wade winning the title and his performance sticking out, not lebron's.
The Heat have only won two games and one of the games Lebron had the better performance. I guarantee the guy who wins the MVP will come from the winning team and will have been the best player in his team's wins.
Lebron did not have a great game, but I am
more confused about why he appears like he just isn't trying on offense.
People are making it out like he is sucking when IMO he is just standing there being a bystander on offense.

Game 3 wasn't as bad as some make it out to be. He was unreal on D, facilitated well, had the game winning assist and 4 assists in the 4th. He just didnt score.
Tonight he didn't look to make plays at all, even with Kidd on him for an extended period of time. Not at all. No defense for it. I personally don't think it's some thing with him being scared or nervous, not at all. I think if that were the case, u would see some of that nervousness seep into the ECF which clearly wasn't the case. That being said, I have no idea what the reason is.

In fairness him busting his arse and just having a bad game is much more acceptable then "being a bystander" I don't know what the hell he was doing tonight.

I think it has a lot to do with the fact that Wade wasn't doing anything in the ECF, so if he would have played poorly, it would have been on them both.
Wade has been playing great in the Finals, and is being called the Finals MVP if the Heat win the series. LeBron could be a little tentative because he knows if he tries to attack and take over but fails, people will get on him a lot for not getting the ball to Wade.

so if you're his teammate and he gives you this "must win game" pregame speech and lays an egg like that does he lose any credibility?
I thought 2 weeks ago that he had finally fully taken the reins from Wade and the heat were his team. Now I kind of doubt it.

I'll be the first to say he is a total pussy if this has anything to do with it.

I'd have to agree.

It's almost like he has a part-time killer instinct. Something just does not connect upstairs for the guy at times IMO. To have the insane physical advantages that he possesses makes checking out in a game of this magnitude all the more unreal.

I'd imagine he has the rest of the series to answer that.
If he plays the rest of the series like tonight, win or lose, it'll be ugly, and deservedly so.

I agree.
I think something is going on with him or something. The fact he looks more like isn't trying atleast makes you believe when he tries he could still dominate, but I don't know what he is thinking.
There is that possibility he will never attempt to take over the game like we know he can again this series. As a fan I just want to see Lebron play his game regardless if he succeeds or fails in winning a title this season.
