Yes but winning at a high level like SB does require a great team. Allen, Burrow and Jackson would all win with Philly, that’s not a knock on Hurts, he’s perfect for what they are doing and executed well. He’s certainly much better than Dilfer or Plunkett but he’s not carrying teams either.

You don’t have his accomplishments and be below average. If so Raiders and jets would be in playoffs this year

He didn't say that's all he did. He just said he's below average at most everything else. Which is false. But a stat that factors in incompletions does not prove otherwise

You also think Jalen Hurts is more talented than Joe Burrow. Which is laughable. He has won more, which is more important for a team, but he's not a better QB than Burrow. You could say with a straight face that this Eagles team/offense would be worse with a healthy Joe Burrow as their QB?

Jalen Hurts is a top 10 quarterback in the NFL today, easily.

Which says a lot about the strength of the position in 2025. QB play is down all across the league.

QB play is dog water and has been since all the greats retired. You have about 3-5 great QB's and the drop off is significant after that. I am talking about consistent play not one hit wonders that have been many recently.

He’s more athletic and a far outpaces him in terms of the most important attribute for a qb: Availability.

There’s not a whole helluva lot of difference between them in overall talent level. Both are tier 2 QBs. Both have a kryptonite: Burrow’s health and The Eagles’ playcalling.

Burrow over Hurts and its not that close...think 63 - 28

Hurts is in an excellent situation w Top O-Line (Best Right Tackle Lane Johnson just got injured) ...2 Top notch WRs + Saquon....PLEASE

HOW MANY NFL QBs ?? Win a Super Bowl if they on the Eagles...
Josh Allen (Bills)
Pat Mahomes (Chiefs)
Joe Burrow (Bengals)
Justin Herbert (Chargers)
Baker Mayfield (Bucs)
Matthew Stafford (Rams)
Lamar Jackson (Ravens)
Jared Goff (Lions)
Sam Darnold (Seahawks)
Drake Maye (Patriots)
Daniel Jones (Colts)
Aaron Rodgers (Steelers)
Probably Dak Prescott (Cowboys)
And JD 5 in DC too

So it's plenty debatable he's not Top 10 & maybe not even Top 13th

Hurts is near a Mid Tier Level with a healthy Brock Purdy (struggled in return la ; Kyler Murray ; Bo Nix ; Jackson Dart etc

Hurts is powerful and might have been a good RB back in the NFL /90's/ early 200s
....But these days the NFL game was changed to resemble more of the College game.

We saw Hurts hold bama back and Tua had to save them and unlock the offense

We know who he is, why anyone denies it is wild . A truly great QB would have the eagles as an absolute unstoppable force offensively. Right now they are beatable mainly because of the limitations of Hurts.

There’s something to be said about Hurts avoidance of the mistake but he is absolutely limited throwing the ball.

But when you have the offensive line and skill players they have, that is what you need. There’s value in having a guy you know isn’t going to frick it up

I think almost every NFL qb can do that for the most part. When you know 140 yards passing and 1 TD is all your team needs from you it isn’t very hard to not turn it over.

His legs are the only reasonI would say he is “above average” in the nfl. I’d have him at 12-16 range

You’ve watched qb’s make bone headed throws for no reason your whole life

Hurts doesn’t, ever. He’s good for Philadelphia, but he’s not a good quarterback. Both of those can be true

Fact is is that Hurts has done far, far better, and has accomplished far, FAR more than anyone on this board could have ever predicted, even if he does have an ideal supporting cast.

But saying that he is a "below average QB" when has a Super Bowl MVP, and came extremely close to another is quite insane.

The Eagles are an easily a top 5 organization top to bottom, but somehow they have hitched their wagon to a below average QB? And on top of that they said here’s 51 Million dollars a year since you are below average.

Ya that make sense.

Mahomes
Allen
Lamar
Burrow
Love
Stafford
Dak
Mayfield
Goff
Herbert

That’s 10 QBs that would absolutely be taken in front of him no questions asked by every GM

Then you have Maye, Nix,Daniels, and Lawrence which would be taken above him by the majority of GMs

That’s 14 QBs in a 32 team league that it’s inarguable would be ahead of Hurts. He quickly gets in the “average to below average category” without being a hot take
