For anyone interested VSN Louisiana will stream the 4A and 5A semifinals live from Sulphur through their website. I have no affiliation with this website or company other than being contracted to handle play-by-play for the broadcast of the 4 games. I just wanted to give fans a heads up in case you want to watch the game but can’t make it to Sulphur on Thursday. They mentioned to me this weekend they may carry some additional semifinal games but not 100% sure about that. JJ27 I thought you may have some fans from WM that might be interested. Thanks

I assume NFHS Network will be streaming the finals as they have done in the past. VSN will only stream the semifinals.

Reread my post, VSN Louisiana will stream the 4A and 5A semifinals on Thursday 5/9. All 4 games are on the same field so they’ll set up and carry all of the days games from that field. VSN will not stream the finals.

I'm asking if the streams are video or audio only Thursday.

Streams will be video. They streamed Barbe vs Sam Houston district matchup earlier this season as well.

Awesome. Thanks. 5pm on a Thursday, 3.5 hours a way is a pretty big ask for most people. I’ll definitely watch via stream.

I think there is a 7 day free trial offer but not sure. I do radio streaming for Sulphur High athletics and I was approached to do play by play when they covered Barbe/Sam Houston earlier this season as my son coaches for Barbe baseball so Glenn C had referred me to VSN. He seems to have a legit service but I’ve never looked into what they charge.

Should be a great game between Barbe and WM on Thursday and the Sam H/Parkway has the makings for a great game too. I watched the earlier matchup with WM getting an early season win over Barbe, both teams are loaded with talent and both well coached.

Just be nice on my play by play, I’m not near the magician on the mike like my old fraternity brother and WM legend David Hoogland. Haha

you know how the LHSAA is. Don't know if they'll be cool with that

Yep you’re right but from what I understand he has all the necessary permission which is why they can’t carry the finals, just the semis. I believe he’ll be carrying the LHSAA lacrosse finals the same day as big school baseball finals on Saturday.

LINK

Let's ask why every class and division has to play at the same park now. This wasn't the case for most of the LHSAA's history

Well you won’t hear me complain about having all the baseball state championships 15 min from my house. I’m a big high school baseball fan so I love the current setup.

Sulphur is cool in that you can watch multiple games just by walking a few steps. That being said, the site lines are garbage. You have to stand up the entire time, down one of the lines in the outfield to be able to see unimpeded. That or stand underneath the bleachers. Whoever designed a baseball park with massive poles in front of the fans is an idiot.

well it makes Sulphur probably the only place that can host them all at one park, and since nobody really wants to go to Sulphur... I think with 12 championships the whole state should have at least one in every metro area, and rotate them around the state. Some of the divisions shouldn't have 4 teams going to state, and 5A and 4A should have at least 8

It will probably change soon as the Selects now have the ability to run their own playoffs and play at different championship sites.

Possibly but all the infields, including mounds and batters boxes are turf so outside of heavy downpours or lightning all 3 fields pretty much are always playable.
